9/11: Unanswered, Part Eight: Final Summations – EP 172
9/11: Unanswered, Part Eight: Final Summations
This is the last stop in 9/11: Unanswered. Our Patreon listeners voted on the running order, so Sean goes first, then Jorge, then Eric, each without the usual tangents. Sean opens with a line all three stand behind: nearly 3,000 innocent people were murdered that day, and nothing here is meant to minimize that.
Sean’s verdict is that al-Qaeda planned it and it was allowed to happen. He walks from the August 2001 presidential brief and the system George Tenet called blinking red to the 9/11 Commission’s own list of missed opportunities, and cannot get past how many chances there were to stop these men. He does not buy the Building 7 explanation, thinks the towers had help coming down, and reads the Patriot Act and the wars that followed as the motive. In his opinion a small handful of people at the top of the agencies let it play out for the greater good as they saw it; that is his belief, not a finding.
Jorge surprised himself by landing close to Sean. He thinks 19 hijackers flew the four planes, that a plane hit the Pentagon, and that there were no bombs in the towers. His case is the two hijackers the CIA photographed in Malaysia in January 2000 who then lived openly in San Diego for a year and a half. His read, and he calls it his read, is that the CIA was trying to flip them rather than arrest them, the play blew up, and the agency has been burying it since. He also believes the White House did not plan the attack but cashed in on it.
Eric’s verdict keeps the word negligence. He believes this was a real attack by people who hated America, that bin Laden was a coward with money rather than a mastermind, and that an arrogant, siloed intelligence system assumed it could not happen. He finds no evidence of a plot in the towers, the put options or the NORAD drills. Building 7 still sits strange with him, but strange does not equal evidence. Where the three converge is that somebody with intelligence in hand may have let it run because it was useful.
We close with a listener poll: who are you most aligned with, Sean, Jorge or Eric? Then the story keeps going, with follow-up episodes on the war on terror and the hunt for bin Laden.
- Sean leans on the August 6, 2001 presidential daily brief titled “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US,” CIA director George Tenet’s description of the system as blinking red that summer, and the 9/11 Commission’s list of missed opportunities by the CIA and FBI; his conclusion that the attack was allowed to happen is his belief, not a documented finding
- The 9/11 Commission named Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who is charged but has not been convicted, as the principal architect of the planes operation; Eric’s read is that bin Laden contributed money and ideology, not the operational planning
- NIST concluded that fire-induced structural failures caused the progressive collapse of Building 7 and acknowledged roughly 2.25 seconds of free-fall acceleration during part of the collapse; Sean and Jorge do not buy that explanation, while Eric calls it the one thing that still sits weird with him but says strange does not equal evidence
- Jorge’s case rests on Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi, photographed by the CIA at an al-Qaeda meeting in Malaysia in January 2000, who then lived in San Diego under their real names and rented a room from an FBI informant; the FBI was not told until August 2001. Jorge’s theory, which he labels his own, is that the CIA was trying to recruit them rather than stop them
- The USA Patriot Act became law on October 26, 2001, 45 days after the attacks, followed by the invasion of Afghanistan and later Iraq; all three hosts treat that expansion of surveillance power and the defense spending that followed as the motive that makes a let-it-happen theory plausible, and Eric, who rejects most of the other theories, calls the Act a terrifying direction for the country
- Eric points to the forensic documentation of where each set of remains was found inside the Pentagon as the reason he believes a plane hit it, and separately notes that the FBI still refuses in writing to release what it holds on United Flight 23 more than 20 years later; he does not claim to know what happened on that plane

Hey guys, welcome back to the Conspiracy Podcast. Hello my friends. What up guys? My name is Eric if you didn’t know me and this is Jorge and Sean. I mean if you don’t know us by now [bleep] have you been? Uh and just before we get going on this episode if you have not listened to it at least at a bare minimum go back to 911 part one. Please if you have the time go back to the pre2. So that’s uh 1993 World Trade Center bombing and the rise of al-Qaeda. Yes. Yeah. I think it’s a good it’s a good like uh opening Yeah. like you know intro into it.
Yeah. Exactly. So, but welcome to the show. This is the final summations of 9/11. Yes. Um we we did a vote with our patreons and they they voted on the order that we’ll do the summations in. These summations will be uninterrupted. Obviously, there could be like minor chimeins, but not our typical like banter tangents. Yep. Correct. And the people voted and I’m first. So it’s gonna go Sean, Jorge, Eric. Yes. Last. Yeah. Where you belong. I’m kind [laughter] of bum I’m kind of bummed out a little bit because I wanted to turn you before I before we Does that make sense? So I’m going to be at the end and then Yeah.
Everyone’s just like write you off. Like we can still chat about for sure. You still you still have you still have a chance. Maybe it’s even better that your last because No, you know because when I’m reading mine, I get more I get more fixated, you know. So maybe it’s better your last. Yeah. All right. So mine’s a little long in the tooth, guys. I will try to make it as uh expedious as possible, but I wanted to give you from the full beginning to end. I didn’t want to do like, oh, here’s what I think it is. I wanted to give you like the full like the entire picture.
I love it. I love it. So without further ado, this is Sean Senation. [laughter] So first before I before I get into it, I just want to make something absolutely clear. Mhm. That nearly 3,000 innocent people were murdered on September 11th. You know, the passengers, the crew aboard the planes, they were real people. The firefighters, police officers, first responders, just regular civilians, people who ran towards danger and and tried to save their fellow man. They were real people. You know, the these people on Flight 83 who fought back, you know, they were heroes. You know, nothing that I’m saying and nothing that I’m going to say is intended to minimize any of the fact, any of the loss of life, any of the heroics.
I just wanted to like make that abundantly clear before going into this because I know things can be construed a certain type of way when you start agree, you know, talking on this line. Good point. Good point. I also wanted to say I don’t believe that the United States government, you know, it’s some four million odd people or some secret cabal where everyone knows what’s going on, everyone’s involved, everyone’s a part of the conspiracy. That’s that’s insane. I also, you know, feel the same way about the the US military. My f I come from a family full of veterans and I know why people serve.
I know why they have that that patriotism for their love of their country, their better man about protecting Americans, willing to put themselves in harm’s way to do it. So, I also don’t want anything I say to be misconstrued against our service members in our military because, you know, that’s a sacrifice that I I’m not willing like I No way. I’m terrified. I’m terrified of So, I just wanted to give a quick shout out like I really appreciate our service members. So yeah, I don’t want anything to be misconstrued that way. So So you know interrupt so bad. I know. I want I want to interrupt himself.
I bet. I bet you do. [laughter] So my conclusion in full isn’t based off of like one kind of magic bullet or one YouTube video that that kind of shows the building. It’s really the accumulation of everything and during and after September 11th that that kind of formulated. So I wanted to start first with Afghanistan dur and we and we went over this in detail but I wanted just a quick recap. So during the Soviet Afghan war the United States and Saudi Arabia poured billions of dollars into supporting the Afghan resistance forces which was their way of the Pakistan intelligence service as well as the the Afghan intelligence service and Osama bin Laden was simultaneously operating in that same environment uh and helping finance and organize these foreign fighters.
You know, we we like we mentioned, Assam Bin Lan obviously came from a very wellto-do family, so he was heavily involved. I would not say that the CIA personally recruited or or or trained Osana per se because there’s not really any records to establish that, but they were heavily involved in training him indirectly. Mhm. Okay. So the 9/11 commission did conclude that bin Laden and his Arab fighters had their own sources of money and training and received little to no direct US assistance. I don’t necessarily believe that, but that’s what the commission says. Mhm. I do think it’s fair to say that the Cold War did create an enormous militant infrastructure in Afghanistan because obviously this was a this was combating the the Soviet forces when we were doing this and when they were doing this.
When that war ended, these networks, these fighters, this money, this ideology that was created during this conflict didn’t just vanish overnight. It was still there, still existed. So al-Qaeda emerged from that as we went through in the rise of al-Qaeda. That’s where al-Qaeda came from. So by the late 1990s, the United States knew al-Qaeda was a serious threat. Like they they knew it existed. They they knew it was a thing. That’s not a conspiracy. That’s a real fact. We knew it was it was an up and cominging thing. Uh 9/11 commission even documented that intelligence reporting during the spring summer of 2001 became increasingly alarming.
CIA director George Tennant later described the system as blinking red. Yeah. And then on August 6, 2001, presidential daily brief was literally titled Bin Laden determined to strike us. And this is in August. Yeah. So like it’s not like they were [bleep] unaware. like there was obviously the the warning signs were on the wall. They were aware. Yeah. Let me continue. [laughter] So the CIA then learned that uh Khaled Alar had a US visa and that NAF al-Hazam al-Hazmi had traveled to the United States. Yet they they weren’t properly watch listed or immediately pursued. Uh the FBI had Sakarius Masawi in custody in August 2001 after his behavior at the flight school raised alarms which we talked about.
The Phoenix FBI field office had separately raised concerns about extremists attending American flight schools which we a lot of this is redundant but I just want to kind of set set the table for like knowledge of the organization and plans for attack. Okay. The 911 commission later listed a remarkable series of missed opportunities involving the CIA and FBI in the months before the attacks, which we went into in detail. So, and I just couldn’t get off of it. I couldn’t like get over the fact that they had so many opportunities to stop these guys and they didn’t. Yeah. So, you know, were these failures just an accident?
or is it bureaucracy, incompetence like we talked about or is it them refusing to act and connect the dots and really do something about it? That’s just where the suspicion begins. You know, it’s also worth rementioning that, you know, Osama bin Laden wasn’t the the sole architect personally designing every detail of this operation. You know the 911 commission even states that Khaled Shake Muhammad was the principal architect of the planes operation. He proposed using commercial aircraft as weapons. Bin Lad supposedly eventually approved this plan and then Muhammad ATF played a major operational role in in the attacks. Yeah. Bin Laden supplied the personnel. He pushed for the attack to move forward.
Obviously supplied the financing. So there there’s a network. Okay. So it’s not just one guy there. So then we get to the day September 11 itself. Couldn’t get past the military exercises that happened to move American fighter aircraft off the eastern seabboard, leaving it completely undefended. Two aircraft for the whole thing. I couldn’t I couldn’t get past that. While it could be a coincidence, I I just it just seems so unlikely that it would be a coincidence. It’s crazy. So yeah, in in the fact that like there there should be fail safes in place for this and obviously NORAD had had the planned mission, but there was multiple kind of failed communications between the FAA military response and it just it’s just odd to me that there wasn’t some sort of safe guard in play in case anything happened.
Not necessarily a terrorist attack, but like who knows? I mean, anything can anything can. So then we get to the buildings. So yes, engineers considered that the aircraft impacts during the design history of the twin towers, they were they they took that into account. So the buildings were designed to withstand multiple aircraft impacts. Mhm. So I Yes, I understand that like that’s you can design something and and design doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s going to work out the way you want it to. So like I I can like I can like be realist I can be realistic about that. Yeah. So NIST did find that the towers survived the the initial impacts obviously which we saw I mean we saw that in real life but its investigation concluded that the impacts damaged the structural components stripped fireproofing from the steel prolonged the the multifloor fires weakened the structure obviously what happened happened n also said that the the when they were doing the design uh like so they when they did the design they were I guess the input But like the data they input was like a Boeing 707.
So that was the impact studies that they used when they were designing it. So NIST said that those those designs didn’t fully account for fire conditions. So that’s where like they’re like okay well if they’re when they’re like mapping this out they weren’t accounting for the potential fire conditions that obviously occurred on on 911. So that you know I’m going to give that side of it. So it withstands the impact. Yes. Not knocking them down. But they’re saying that like the structural damage and the fires were the catalyst that that caused it to happen. And I understand, look, I understand like I’m not a structural engineer.
I’m not here to tell you like this is impossible because like I don’t know. But they they fell and then the fact that both fell the same exact way. That’s where that’s where I get a little confused. And it it makes it gives me the perception that maybe there was some sort of assistance whether that be pre-weakening of the structure cuz then we go back to 93 when the bombing was in the basement near the support structures and I’m like okay if you’re going to take a building down I feel like that would be the right way. Yeah. Like at the base not at the top and then it collapses down.
But you know what? I’m I’m not a engineer, so like but building 7 is what really bothered me the most. Okay. You know, it wasn’t struck by an airplane. And granted, yeah, sure. I I think that obviously it’s with its proximity to the towers, it could definitely been hit by by shrapnel and other kind of [bleep] Mhm. So just to kind of recap on that, they concluded that the fire induced structural failures caused a progressive collapse of building 7. N did acknowledge a period of central freefall acceleration during part of the visible collapse, which is roughly 2.25 seconds, while explaining that internal structural failures already remove support below which would cause it.
Because as we discussed in detail, you can’t have freef fall speed. Obviously freef fall speed in Earth’s atmosphere is impossible because there’s air. So nothing can fall at the rate of gravity. It’s impossible. Yeah. But you can have freef fall speed with air. You have terminal velocity with with air being there. But if there’s things impeding it, such as the structure of the building itself, you wouldn’t you won’t get that. But they were saying that the previous structural fairs removed support below that portion of the exterior structure. I don’t buy it. I don’t buy it at all. I it’s it’s just [clears throat] I can’t I I to me that was the like I can I can somehow convince myself of the two towers.
I can because they got hit by planes. You know, I can I can find a way to understand that, but I can’t find a way to understand building seven and the fact that the building housed a number of government agencies including the ICC, Secret Service, IRS, Department of Defense, and CIA makes it even more sketchy. I don’t know. It’s so [bleep] sketch, dude. I can’t I can’t get past it. Yeah. You know, the Pentagon also raised a a number of other questions for me which I did not like. A Hani Hour who was described as the the least the least competent pilot of out of all of the pilots and [snorts] he was the he struggled during multiple portions of his training.
One of the fight one of the flight instructors literally called him a terrible pilot. Like his exact words were he is a terrible pilot. So he was able to the fact that he was able to pull off that like insane maneuver in a very large plane which is like a downward corkcrew going 500 miles an hour and then to keep the plane roughly what a couple feet off the ground and then slam into the building and then have the hole that looks like a Looney Tunes cartoon hole and it just doesn’t seem like a plane hit it. That comes immediately the day after Donna Rumsfeld made his famous statement about the Pentagon financial systems not being able to adequately track 2.3 2.3 trillion dollars in transactions.
Like it’s just it’s the greatest coincidence of all time, especially since the plane hit the specific part of the Pentagon that was the accounting department. And we know that because multiple accountants were killed in the crash. Right. It just it’s too big of a coinc like one coincidence is possible, but like having all these coincidence simultaneously on the same day is is is [bleep] impossible. It’s it’s it’s too much. It’s too much. So like we like look back. I want to look back. And then also I wanted to do a quick mention. I don’t believe the passport thing. I don’t. the odds of a passport being sucked out of a a sealed aircraft that’s striking a building at it was like what did it hit like 90 or 100 something like that.
Yeah. Very high in the air. I just don’t believe it. That’s just me. I could be wrong. I think that’s [bleep] I think it’s too Especially since it’s it’s only the passport of the of the hijacker. Right. Not like not like a ID from like a homie. It it’s just only that. Yeah. That’s why I’m like I for me like I thought that was [bleep] and I thought it was them just trying to get closer to giving closure so we could go to war. So [snorts] if you look at the broader suck yourself back out, al-Qaeda was known about, very known about, bin Laden was known about. The threat level was already high. They’ve already said in their own words that there was even in the daily presidential brief, it was Bin Laden looking to strike the US.
So they knew that there was many warnings about these attacks. They were already tracking a lot of these people that were involved with the incident, but they didn’t do anything about it. intelligence agencies had intel that they weren’t acting upon, but somehow all these things just kind of get swept under the rug. 45 days after September 11th, the USA Patriot Act became law on October 26, 2001. Among other things, it expanded information sharing, surveillance authorities, access to certain business records, and the government’s ability to conduct national security investigations. Its supporters argued these tools were necessary to prevent another catastrophic intelligence failure. Critics argue they gave the government extraordinarily surveillance powers with insufficient safeguards for privacy and civil liberties.
The single greatest infringement on the Constitution of the United States in American history. Didn’t it go through in like a couple hours? 100 I think it was 100% passed. 100%. True. I don’t think anything has ever been 100 fucking%. It’s like the constitution itself. It’s like 100% passed. And that was what 40 45 days later. you get the single greatest infringement and the single greatest opening of latitude for the US government to virtually do whatever the [bleep] they want with impunity. Oh yeah, there’s there is a way they can get around and then and then obviously you look at things that happen now that we look at the NSA and like they can pretty much just do whatever they want.
Yeah. So that’s just foreshadowing to my belief. It’s true. Then guess what happens? United States invades Afghanistan. A global war on terror follows. Iraq came afterwards. Military and intelligence operations expanded around the world. National security became one of the most powerful phrases in American politics. Mhm. Stories. And that’s where my theory goes. I don’t believe the US government as an institution planned 911. Like I said, I don’t believe it’s the the US government or the American military complex. Oh, yeah. But it’s but it’s inside job by FEU. Okay. You know, I I don’t believe the passengers were fake. I know there’s a lot of theories that they they weren’t real.
I don’t believe that these families were actors or that they somehow like obiscated all these real humans and then like made them fake death. Okay. Um, and I I I just don’t it’s just too it’s too much, you know? It’s like it’s like too far for me. So what I really believe is is that it was an inside job. But and Eric like I had already thought this but when Eric had talked about when Eric talked about Cheney being a part of that organization who had this belief that the US had to had to change and had to do that literally solidified like I had already thought this like even leading like like I had always kind of thought this has always been my theory but that really solidified it like what’s the one way that you can make the military industrial complex so big, so integral, and so powerful that a in your mind if you think it’s for the greater good, you can you can literally quote unquote prevent you can prevent anything like this from ever happening again and anyone from ever doing anything by having all the power.
So that’s in a nutshell, that’s what I think it was. I think that we had all the intel. There was a certain few handful of people at the tops of these agencies who all subscribed to the same thing. They thought the US needed to be more indefensible. Uh they they need to be like an impregnable fortress and we had to have a military so strong that people would rather die than try to invade us. But what do you need for that to happen? You need an event to occur that causes people to not even think about their civil liberties and they’re only thinking about their fellow man.
What does that terrorist attack? They had the intel. They knew it was getting they knew something was getting planned. They knew the people that were involved. They had tabs on them. They didn’t do [bleep] We talked about it in the other episode where the FBI had had people had a dude who lived next [bleep] door to like two of the homies. They didn’t do [bleep] It got black ballalled by by by by the higherups. They refused to let it happen and then they they allowed it to happen. I don’t think that the US government orchestrated this terrorist attack. I think it got planned and it got allowed to happen.
That is my theory. My theory is that it was they knew it was going to happen and they let it happen. And guess what they did? They scheduled a NORAD mission to prevent these planes from getting shot down. And and you know what? You know what that would do? That would bring a lot of bad light and a lot of bad press and PR to the US government. You know, if a couple F-22s shoot down a couple passenger planes, yeah, you can try to tell them what was going on, but that’s a hard story to weave when the planes are getting US passenger planes are getting shot out of the sky over New York.
It looks bad. So, you have a mission. You send them to Alaska and then you have two planes left to cover the cover the territory. Okay? And because of this, they got to pass unanimously the US Patriot Act, which gives them unlimited latitude to do where the [bleep] they want, and then you get 12 years of war that follows, or more. I think it was more than that. More, I think. Yeah. You get the war in Afghanistan, the war on terror, the war in Iraq, and then we get to put our little fingernails into everything that everyone else is going on, and the USA can continue to be the word world police.
military-industrial complex gets unlimited funding and people get richer, you get more power, and they can feel safer at night because they know better than everyone else and they should have the power. There you go. Okay. [sighs and gasps] So, uh, can I ask a question at this point? Of course you can answer. No, I thought we were going to ask at the end. Oh, we’re going to ask. You can ask me. No, you can have a little little question. Little tiny. Let’s Well, then I got a bunch of questions. Well, no. I just want to tighten it up. Yeah. So So who I think Well, I don’t Well, based on his based on his uh dissertation, whatnot.
Who would it be? Uh well, obviously I think Cheney for sure. I I think Bush didn’t know what day it was. I [bleep] I think he has no idea what’s going on. He was just like oblivious. Yeah. So you’re saying Cheney? I’m saying it was Cheney, probably the directors of the major agencies, and probably a couple generals, couple aliens, [laughter] a couple of Naki. No, but honestly, I feel like it’s it’s it’s probably like it’s probably like those guys, and then it’s weirdly enough, it’s probably like, you know, the CEO of Led and like these guys are like, “Look, like we got plans to build some crazy [bleep] for you, but we can’t do it and we can’t get the funding unless some [bleep] goes down.” So in summary, that means that Shawn subscribes to not I mean partially an inside job but more the allowance to it’s an allowance allowance for it to occur.
It’s not an inside job because inside job means they did you did it. Yeah. But I do think that they had and I do think that just to clarify I do think they did have involvement with with uh with building 7. Okay. For sure. and the Pentagon because I feel like they needed to clean up some dirt. And I feel like they because all the agencies that were in building seven, they probably had certain files or maybe certain things that they maybe it’d be really easy just to delete right there and you’re like, “Cool, let’s just take this down.” It also makes it like more catastrophic and we can uh get rid of these problems.
Oh, there’s 2.5 trillion worth of transactions that we don’t know who got paid. little county go away. Whoopsy daisies. Okay, understood. All right, that’s Sean summation. Um, Jorge Y next up. All right, real real quick before Hoy goes, I forgot to add this in. I do believe that they added explosives into the Twin Towers. Ah, that’s huge. to ask a dude, and I mentioned this when we did the original episode, but like one building falling down and imploding into its own footprint. Okay, but both Mhm. when both were designed not to do that, it’s too much. It’s too much. That’s it. Well, they were designed to withstand, not not to not implode.
Yeah. What did you withstand? The definition of withstand it did withstand a plane hit. Didn’t withstand the the fire. Or they didn’t. Oh, you really think they designed it like designed it? It’ll stand. It’ll it’ll just collapse after being hit, not instantaneously. We’re not in the argument part. Anyways, go ahead. Jorge, your turn. [laughter] Jorge’s turn. Jorge summation. I’ll shut up now. All right. All right. So, where I stand on this, and I thought I was going to be maybe a little more on Eric’s side, but actually agree with a lot of what Sean said. I should I mean, I can maybe even say ditto [snorts] [laughter] and be exactly what he says.
No, but there is a little bit little bit difference. So, that’s horrible. Huh? I said that’s horrible that I agree with him. [laughter] You’re horrible. Hey, we we still got to hear your side. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Okay. Uh I’m going to start off by telling you guys the things or the conspiracies that I don’t think happened. Oh, I like that. Yeah, that’s good. Cuz there was a lot of them that we we went over uh one episode, you know, on all all kinds of things. So So, okay. Um I know there’s some theories on this and Sean kind of even touched on it, but I don’t think that the government flew the planes.
I don’t think that they are the ones that, you know, put that whole thing together. Mhm. I do think that there were 19 hijackers that did fly the four planes. Got it. I think Al Qaeda did it. Okay. I don’t think there were bombs in the towers. Okay. To to disagree with one of the things Sean’s saying. Okay. But to me, the the uh uh detonation Yeah. meaning to to Yeah. bombs or some sort of accelerant to to create Okay. the collapse. Okay. Now, building seven, I don’t know. It shouldn’t have fallen like that. That’s I mean, that’s a control demo. Yeah. Yeah. The only thing I could like pull up on that for myself is, and I talked about this is when we were doing that episode, is there was the big antenna from one of the towers that kind of fell over and kind of like slashed through it.
And so, yeah, it’s not structurally sound. Almost half a day of fires going on. And it’s supposed to be engineered to withstand that to you know what Sean was just saying earlier. But I don’t know. I mean these are just like that’s the theory. They’re supposed to I but at the same time I don’t know dude. It’s it’s definitely very sketchy the way that it fell and the freef fall or close to freef fall speed and and things like that. That’s the only building ever to to collapse purely from internal fire. That’s right. That was it was the only building at the time. But there’s also been another one since.
Ooh. So, I mean, it was like years later, but you know, there you go. It was I did not know that. What building? Yeah, we talked we talked [laughter] about that in in the building 7 episode. Yeah, I brought it up. Or you brought it up some. I don’t know. Continue. Sorry for interrupting. Sorry. Yeah, you guys. [laughter] We didn’t subscribe to the rules. By the time Eric comes around [laughter] like, “Shut the [bleep] up, Eric. This is [bleep] All right. So, one of the last episodes was great is is Sean’s like, I can’t with you. Like, I I [laughter] hate you and I can’t I can’t with anything you’re saying to me.
Yeah. So, I mean, there was definitely a lot of weird inconsistencies like the passport. Okay. That’s definitely very weird. A guy picks up the passport, you know, off the street before the towers even fall. I I think I think that was fake. But here’s the thing. I don’t really need the passport for what I’m, you know, for my stance. Okay. I don’t need to try to prove that anybody actually planted anything because the passport only matters if you think that they staged the attack. That’s a good point. Which I don’t. It’s a good point. What I think is that they let it through and that’s like a whole another story.
Ooh. Develop on the Pentagon. I do think that a plane hit the Pentagon. Okay. Yeah, they did pull the black box out of there. They matched the DNA to some of the people that died in there. Y but I know like some of our listeners probably right now are probably thinking that I’m just going with the narrative, you know, whatever the the media said, but the mystery to me is not what happened to the plane, even though that was very weird. And we already spent a whole, you know, episode on on that, too. So, I won’t go too much into it. And also Sean covered a lot of stuff that maybe I’ll kind of skip over my stuff, but what I think is the biggest mystery and this is my main point is the two guys that were on the plane because the way I see it, there’s actually two conspiracies or coverups here that I’m going to, you know, stand on and I’ll keep them separate.
So the first one is going to be on the CIA. I don’t think they were just, you know, asleep or or they missed this quote unquote. They were actually running a play and it blew up in their face and they’ve been trying to bury it ever since. They’re doing anything that they can to hide any evidence or any information despite whatever this 9/11 commission and all that which I’ll get into. But if you remember back in January of 2000, the CIA was taking pictures of Madar and Ham Hamsi which Sean went over. They were going into that al Qaeda meeting in Malaysia. So they knew these guys are terrorists.
they they’re at least part of al-Qaeda, which automatically is going to make you a terrorist. So, they had the two guys on their radar and they knew that they had visas to come to America. And then 10 days later, they’re here. They’re in LA. They’re using their real names. They’re living in San Diego. We also went over all this. They were here for a year and a half. And they’re watching them. I know. Your credit card company is hoping you don’t hear this. They’re charging you 21% APR interest, making it hard to pay down your balance. A home equity loan from Rocket Mortgage could cut your interest rate by more than half.
So you could wipe out your highinterest credit card debt with the equity you’ve built in your home without touching your current mortgage rate. See how much you could save at rocket mortgage.com. Rocket mortgage LLC licensed in 50 states. NMLScons consumerac.org number 330. Call 8004ROTE for full program details. I can look the [bleep] Yeah. I mean, even one of them was in the phone book, which we talked about as well. Yeah. But they were renting a room from an FBI informant. So, at least 50, 60 people in the CIA knew that these guys were here. They knew who they were. And not one of them told the FBI until August of 2001, just a couple of weeks before 9/11.
And then you have that one FBI agent who was working in the CIA. So he was in the bin Laden unit when the report comes in about these guys that they have US visas, but he was basically, you know, his ball. Exactly. He was can’t pass that information over to the FBI. The CIA shuts them down. They said something like the this is an FBI matter or this is not an FBI matter and when and if we want the FBI to know, we’ll let them know. So for me, the truth is the CIA knew this was going to happen. Okay? or at very least they that it could happen and even approximately when because remember again Sean brought this up it was August that report that came that came through to imminent like and it names Osama and Al Qaeda and everything right uh but the CIA wanted these guys and they had nobody on the inside of al-Qaeda and they were so they were trying to work them were trying to flip these two guys and this is where uh oh so you’re saying that if they they were they were too busy trying to flip them and that not stop them from what they’re doing.
Mhm. Because then they can’t flip them if they just arrest them. Exactly. So, cuz they they need somebody on the inside. That’s the way the CIA works. Obviously, that’s the whole, you know, that’s the whole point of intelligence. There’s a playbook. [laughter] Then there’s this whole like Saudi intelligence. So, let me get into that. I don’t think you touched on this, but the CIA can’t spy inside of the United States, at least back then. Probably now, I Well, now they can, but they need they need another agency to be a party to it. So, like if the CIA wants to like do covert operations in the in the United States, they need the FBI or another agency to be sanctioned to to be a party.
Like it’s like a checks and balances type thing. So, even with the whole Patriot Act and all that, they Correct. You you still need a secondary agency to be involved. Okay. At the very least, I knew like back then they couldn’t and or at least that’s what I think. And so they had to have somebody do it for them. And that’s where the Saudis come in. There’s a guy named Bayumi, which did we did we touch on that guy? Not a whole lot. Not a whole lot, right? Yeah. Not a whole lot. Cuz he turns out that he’s Saudi intelligence. And he’s the one that got them the apartment.
Yeah. He signed the lease. He opened the bank accounts for these guys and the CIA was trying to turn these two guys into informants like I was saying, but obviously they turn into hijackers. True. This is a good point. This is great. So, I wouldn’t call it negligence. Uh, Eric’s favorite word. [laughter] I would actually say this is something else because negligence is when you just miss something, you know, like we went over that. I don’t think that this is that. Nobody missed anything. They had the two guys the whole time and they chose to keep them in play and keep trying to work them and keep trying to flip them.
And of course, these are the guys that end up flying the plane into the Pentagon. Yeah. The CIA was running a an operation and it failed. That’s what I think. Okay. And this led to the worst attack in American history. And of course, they’re going to hide it. The CIA is going to do everything that they can to hide this and hide anything connected to them to this. Besides those two guys, we have the head of the CIA. Again, Sean already touched on it. The the guy that was saying the system was blinking red. Yep. If you guys remember, Ten, that’s right. We we had uh Germany, we had Russia, we had Egypt, we had Jordan, Israel.
Everybody was warning us this, you know, something’s gonna happen. No. So, to me, like I said, the CIA knew and they let it happen. Now, the second thing for me is the White House. And I’m not going to say that they planned the attack, but they definitely cashed in on it. Oh, yeah. Okay. Big time. just very sketchy when you laid out all the facts and how they all fit together. The one that ties it ties it to them is what we went over which was the project for a new American century. That’s the paper. That’s the one that you were mentioning. And they said that the changes they wanted were going to take forever unless there was some sort of catastrophic event like a new Pearl Harbor.
So that’s what they said. And then a few months later, these are the guys from that project that are running the country and we got the Pearl Harbor that they were talking about. So within [clears throat] a year, we got Afghanistan, we got the Patriot Act, and they’re selling us on Iraq and these weapons of mass destructions, which we know now had nothing to do with it, but that’s what we’re being sold. So, uh, we bought it. Oh, yeah. Hook, line, and sinker. And then some people say it was about oil. I don’t really buy that that whole thing was about oil. For me, it comes down to money and power.
And in this case, there was money in the war. And you had Hallebertton, which was where Cheney was CEO right before he got into the White House. You got $39 billion in Iraq contracts. The military budget basically doubled. And then the wars end up costing something like $6 trillion over the next 12, 15, 20 years, whatever it was. That’s a lot of money lot of money going around and you know somebody is getting it and that’s basically like my you know the second thing here these guys were sign signing orders to go to war uh where the same guys were getting paid on the other side Cheney with Hallebertton and the Bush family they were uh a part of or they were like connected to Carile group.
So this is like a private equity group you know. Yeah, I know them. And they own a bunch of defense companies which ended up getting a bunch of this money that we just talked about. So, you got the same names on both ends of the check. And the part that I hate the most is is the whole investigation, the the 911 commission. [bleep] I know. You got Bush basically fighting the the families for 14 months to stop the commission from even happening. And then when he finally loses, they funded the whole thing with $3 million or 3.9 or whatever it was. And again, we touched on that on on another episode, so I’m not going to go too much into that, but that’s, you know, that just it’s so gross.
It’s Yeah. And then you have Bush and Cheney. They testified together, but not under oath. No transcripts, no recordings. We never saw any of it. We got zero transparency even though the whole commission was supposed to be about transparency. [laughter] The whole purpose and then you got the Saudis. The commission said that there was no evidence that the Saudi government was involved and the FBI’s own files that came out saying Bayumi was Saudi intelligence. That was like last year. It just, you know, came out and so it confirmed it. There was even a video of this guy walking around and filming, you know, the White House and stuff like that.
I don’t know if you saw that. No, I didn’t. Okay. So, anyway, so the one thing that the commission swore didn’t exist was actually, you know, turns out to be true. So, when you put it all together, you got a real terrorist cell, you got a CIA that had them and they try to use them instead of stopping them. So, they try to flip them instead of preventing this [bleep] from happening. [sighs and gasps] guys who wrote down a year earlier exactly what they needed to happen that whole project and you got the investigation that was obstructed to no end and in the end called the whole thing just a quote unquote failure of imagination.
That’s what they [clears throat] that’s what came out of that. Literally worse. So the CIA [bleep] up. They [clears throat] let it happen. They were trying to be cute and clever and they did everything they can to hide it. and Bush and Cheney and all these top political families, probably, you know, more of them. I don’t even know who else, but they all saw the the money there, the opportunity, and they took it. So, for me, sadly, just always comes down to money, power, and control. Yep. I like that. That was good. Yeah. I just want to say like, Eric, I I did want to say one quick thing because I know you mentioned that people say it was about oil.
Mhm. I do believe that the Iraq situation was about oil relevant. It was it was very relevant because it was to get to Kuwait and get to the Kuwaiti oil because and they were they were using WMDs as the guys to like go in and and dominate Yeah. Iraq. But that’s just an aside. Okay. Yeah. I but I think at that point like it was it was more about spreading the influence. Yeah. So yes, I just want to like presence. Yeah, exactly. The pre boots on the ground, control. It gives you leverage. Comes down to control and money. So that you know some something’s got to fund that war.
We got to control that side of the world, you know, somehow. We got to get our our troops boots on the ground over there and bases. What’s the one thing left when you already have all the money? Yeah. Control. Exactly. [laughter] Yeah. It’s like when your Hallebertton contracts have already paid, like you’re you’re rich. You’re you’re richer beyond your wildest dreams. Yeah. What’s next? Okay. Good points, Eric. Good points. Hi, my name is Eric. [laughter] All right. And this is my paper. Yeah, this is my book report. This is this is uh Yeah, here we go. C plus. So, um, after everything we’ve gone through, many episodes, this is where I land.
Yeah. Yeah. I think this was planned for well over a year, funded roughly $500,000, all told, move through al-Qaeda’s network to get these men trained, housed, and into this country. coordinated, carried out by a group that had a genuine deep hatred for America and for the way that we live. Not a grievance that got out of hand, but a plan that was built from the ground up to kill as many people as possible and hit us somewhere we’d never be able to unsee. Okay? And that part to me isn’t really up for debate. What’s up for debate is everything that happened surrounding it. Who missed what, who let what slide, and how much of this was bad luck versus bad leadership.
Okay. And firstly, I want to talk about Bin Laden because I think Ben Bin Laden’s given too much credit. I think he’s a [bleep] idiot. Yeah. Like people do like [bleep] mastermind. That’s right. I don’t think he was a criminal mastermind sitting in a cave outsmarting the US government. I don’t think that. I think he was a coward with a lot of money. Mhm. And an unlimited amount of hate who found people who also hated the way that he did and then he funded them. From everything we’ve gone through, I don’t think he had much of a hand in the actual operational planning. That was KSM.
Yeah. Which I Yeah. Yeah. That was the people on the ground doing the real work. Bin Laden’s contribution was money and ideology. And to me, that’s not genius. that somebody wealthy enough and hateful enough to buy a catastrophe and then hide in a [bleep] all cave while other people carried out the actual act. Yeah. Okay. I’m down. Okay. And on that front, I think our intelligence community was arrogant. I don’t think anybody wanted this to happen. I think a huge chunk of our own leadership assumed that because nothing like this has ever happened before. Nothing like this could happen. You had field offices flagging real threats.
Phoenix, Minneapolis, and you had people above them who just didn’t move fast enough, didn’t connect the dots, didn’t believe their own people. So to me, that’s arrogance. And that’s a system that got really comfortable. So 19 men get through our system. Four planes hijacked. Two hit the towers. And on the fourth plane, flight 93, the passengers are the only reason that the plane didn’t hit its target. They found out what was happening to the other three flights. They made a decision together and they went down fighting for it. And I don’t think there’s a version of this story where the flight isn’t the clearest example of pure uncoordinated American courage in the entirety of 9/11.
I agree. Yeah, I fully agree. Yeah. Okay. Fully, fully fully agree. Now, the Pentagon. So, you obviously don’t believe it got shot down, correct? Okay. Yeah. Now, the Pentagon, it’s odd. It’s strange. I’m going to give you that. It’s a weird target to hit the way it was hit. The low altitude. Yeah, the corkcrew low altitude. Yeah. And the fact that there’s so little released footage of the actual impact bothers me. But here’s where I do stand on that, which is it’s the Pentagon. It is by a wide margin the most secure, most heavily surveiled building in the United States. They besides White House. Yeah.
Yeah. And I think the lack of released footage has a lot more to do with it than it does with anything being hidden about it. Meaning there there’s an entire forensic data sheet put together by investigators documenting exactly where every single set of human remains were found inside of the building. That’s not something you kind of like make up. Okay. Nobody builds out that level of documentation of human remains found throughout the building, person by person, location by location to sell a lie. So point being, I don’t believe it was a missile. I think it was a plane that hit the Pentagon. Mhm. I think the reason we don’t have 50 different angles of it is the same reason that you don’t have 50 different angles of what’s happening inside of the Pentagon.
Okay. Yeah. On the towers, I don’t agree that it was a controlled demolition. I never said it was a controlled demo. Yeah, [laughter] obviously it’s not controlled. I got hit by planes. I mean, I’ve looked at the arguments. I’ve looked at the collapse videos. People point to it. And what I keep coming back to is this. Those buildings came down because the planes severed the structural support beams. The fires weakened them after. Mhm. And the floors above the impact point came down on everything below it. It does look fast. It looks clean in a way that unsettles people. But looking similar to a demolition isn’t the same thing as being one.
And I haven’t seen anything, not one piece of actual evidence that gets me past this point, which is it looks weird. Mhm. Besides building seven, we’re just I’m just talking about the towers. I know. Yeah. Two towers. Yeah. Same thing with the jet fuel question. It’s a It’s a line that that everybody loves to throw. Jet fuel doesn’t melt steel. Mhm. That’s the line. They’re right. It doesn’t. But let’s be clear about what actually happened in the sequence. The jet fuel didn’t melt those beams. A 200,000 lb aircraft flying into the building at 500 m an hour is what did the damage. That impact zone alone severed and warped structural steel on multiple floors.
No fuel required. Then the fires that followed weakened whatever steel was left standing. Mhm. Because steel doesn’t need to melt to fail. It just needs to get hot enough to lose a huge percentage of its strength. Structural integrity. Yeah. Yeah. And then once enough of that support was gone, the floors above the impact zone came down on top of each other. Mhm. Pancake impact fire collapse. That’s the sequence in my mind. And it’s not the same claim that people are arguing about when they say jet fuel doesn’t melt steel. Your credit card company is hoping you don’t hear this. They’re charging you 21% APR interest, making it hard to pay down your balance.

Rocket Mortgage LLC licensed in 50 states in MLS consumerac.org number 3030. Call 8004Rocket for full program details. Building building 7. Okay, I’ll admit. Thank you. Yeah. Okay. I’m going to say like if you like try to give me some [bleep] [bleep] [laughter] it gives me heavy pause. It’s strange. I think it’s strange that it came down the way it did many hours later.
It wasn’t hit by a plane. Uh we don’t actually even know if it was hit by debris. True. Yeah. There’s But the assumption is that it was. Yeah. Right. Yeah. But we don’t know. Yeah. We don’t know. If you’re going to make me pick the one thing from this investigation that still sits weird with me, it’s building seven. But you guys know me. Strange doesn’t equal evidence. Trust me. I have I’m going to get a t-shirt for many years. I’m going to get a t-shirt. Strange doesn’t equal evidence. Okay. I understand you’re you. Yeah. Strange is not conspiracy. That’s that’s a shirt. I’ve looked for something that actually contradicts the official explanation.
the fire, the damage, the one critical column. I just haven’t found it. What about the video? Sorry. Yeah. So, I’m not going to sit here and tell you it was rigged just because the timing and the optics feel off or strange. Feeling off and being proven are two different things. So, overall, my take is that this was a real attack carried out by real people who hated the United States. It succeeded because our own intelligence apparatus was too arrogant and too siloed to even stop it. Not because the inside job wanted it to happen because too many people assumed it couldn’t happen. H okay. Oh, that would never happen.
Yeah, I can see that. So, a couple of the conspiracies I’m going to just touch on really quick. The dancing Israelis. M yeah, I do think it’s possible that information about the attacks, maybe not the full plan, but pieces of it were leaked. That’s the only way I can make sense of guys filming and celebrating in real time. And it’s the only way I can make sense of a company getting an actual warning message 2 hours before the plane hit. You remember? That’s why we remember that. Yeah, remember that? So all of that, the Israeli messaging company. So all of that just kind of to me leads to like people just couldn’t keep their traps shut and there’s a little bit of like whoa we’re doing the thing.
Well, it’s also what Jorge mentioned about all the different intelligence agencies who [clears throat] were on the in the ends. Yeah, that’s right. But if you’re going to ask me if it was an inside job, it’s that somebody somewhere had intelligence that something was coming and they let it play out anyways. That’s what we’re all saying because a country that just got hit is a country that hands over a much bigger defense budget without asking questions. And that’s the only version that I find believable is that not that we did it ourselves, but perhaps that we did let it happen because it was useful. We’re all on the same page here.
Yeah. The put options. Mhm. You remember the insider trading? Yeah. But it wasn’t like a lot. Yeah. I don’t buy it as evidence of a bigger plot because of the amount of money. It was too small. Yeah. Agreed. 16 million, I think we said. Yeah. It was it was not like a massive amount. Yeah. We’re talking about a group of traders who worst case made a few million dollars off for knowledge information. You don’t kill $3,000 people for a few million dollars? No. Yeah. I hate to say you don’t do so. So So they did have information possibly. It’s And we talked about that there was a leak or like a you’re at a bar and it’s like oh you know what I heard in my intelligence?
Yeah. We’re going to do a thing and it’s going to be a big thing, you know, but it doesn’t mean that those people who traded it were part of it. I see. Okay. Does that make sense? I see a little bit. Yeah. If this was engineered by somebody with real money and real power, the payout would look nothing like what we’re talking about. Yeah. It would look like $6 trillion in a war. Yeah. That’s what it would look like. No. Yeah. Mhm. Then flight 93 getting shot down by our own military. I don’t buy it at all. Mhm. Think about what would actually be required to make that true.
That means the pilots, military command, everybody up the chain that day all got forced into silence or actively lied on voicemails for 25 years. And then the passengers and the crew, the real people, they just vanished. It’s too much. It’s Where are they? Yeah, it’s too much. Nobody’s ever produced a single person who was supposedly on that plane showing up somewhere after the fact. Like Tupac, are you saying that if it got shot down there would be nobody in there or it didn’t get shot down and there were real people in there? Good question. Uh, two points. One, if it was a fake scenario. Okay.
Where where are the victims? Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I don’t believe it was fake. Yeah. I don’t believe it was fake either. Yeah. Okay. But it didn’t get shot down. You just touched on that. No, he’s saying it. He’s saying he doesn’t believe it got shot down. Yeah. He’s saying there’s no evidence. Those are two different things. They’re two different things. He is right. Okay. You’re all right. I’ll let you finish. continue. The passport. Okay, this one I find extremely interesting. Um, and here’s my theory on it. I came up with a theory. Oh, yeah. I think it was planted. Yeah. Mhm. The passport. Okay. Yeah, I do.
And I’ve seen it in 700 Forensic Files episodes because I believe so. Look at it like this. You’ve got a case that looks airtight already and somebody along the chain decides that your case does not have enough evidence to convict. So what do you do? Fabricate. Give a little uh little boosty little boosty boost. Right. So, I believe that it was planted, but it doesn’t mean that the hijacking didn’t occur. I I agree. Does that make sense? I understand. Yeah. We’ve seen it in detective cases and and and true crime situations where you go, the guy is guilty, but there’s no there’s not enough evidence to put it.
But the the question the question becomes, where do they get it? Yeah. Like if they planted it, how did they plant it? Question. Yeah. Okay. And then moving on, because this is just my last little little blurb. NORAD running War Games that same morning. And I know Sean’s going to hate this point. I think it’s a coincidence. [snorts] [laughter] It’s only been 18 of those in this in one day. Yeah. People love this one because the timings feels a little perfect, but the military runs exercises constantly. Nearly every week there’s a new exercise about some training op. And 9/11 happened to land on a day with a scheduled drill.
I don’t believe it’s a smoking gun. If anything, it’s probably made the response more confused, not less. Fine. Okay. And then the last couple of things, the fifth plane, I think it’s weird. I think it’s possible that United 23 was supposed to be part of this. But here’s what gets me. If it wasn’t anything, why did the FBI clean it up the way that they did? That’s true. Why is the FBI still in writing refusing to release what they have on it more than 20 years later? You don’t sit on a file for 22 years because nothing has happened. Something happened on that plane. I just don’t know what it is.
Understandable. Yeah. Okay. Then pretty much lastly, really don’t like the Bin Laden family getting flown out of this country. Oh, dude. I can’t believe I didn’t even mention that. Holy [bleep] What the [bleep] Oh, I can’t believe I didn’t mention that. So, the Bin Laden family was flown out of this country while our airspace was still shut down to everybody else. And I just really I really hate that. Um, of every single thing we’ve covered in the entire series, that’s the one that actually gets me mad. You can explain away a lot of this day as confusion, arrogance, negligence, we don’t know what’s going on, etc.
But you can’t explain that one as confusion. Somebody made a decision on purpose to get that family out of the country before the dust had even settled on the people who had died. But then the No, sorry. Sorry, I know we’re not supposed to interrupt, but like they flew them out and then what was it like 8 hours later they’re like Bin Laden is it was Bin Laden Ala then they announced that Bin Laden Al Qaeda was the but yet you literally just flew their family out. Yeah. So it’s one of the things I hate the most about this entire story. Um and then finally that the 911 commission in my opinion did not actually achieve what it should have achieved.
Its entire purpose should have been to answer these three questions. Who did this? Who allowed it to happen? And why didn’t we stop it when we had the pieces in front of us? I feel like the 911 commission got the first thing out of that which was who did this? We got a partial hedged version of the other two. A lot of careful language and a lot of conceivably and might have and not a lot of anybody actually being held responsible for 9/11. a commission that can tell you exactly which floor a man’s remains were found on, but he can’t give you a straight answer on why the warnings that were sitting on the desk in Phoenix and Minneapolis never got acted upon.
The majority of the questions we still don’t have clean answers for, not all of them. They don’t point me towards some grand plot that pulled this whole thing off on purpose. They point me toward people in positions of power who made horrific mistakes, who were negligent when they shouldn’t have been, and who have spent 25 years quietly covering up exactly how badly they failed and and refusing the fact that some of these people should be in godamn jail for their negligence. Mhm. So, call it a conspiracy or call it a not conspiracy, but that’s where I land on all of it. That’s my that’s my verdict.
All right. I mean, so where do you think, Eric, with with your with your summation Mhm. the Patriot Act and the wars come into it? Yeah. You know, it’s a good point because um and also I didn’t want to touch on it because we’re going to go into it. I know. You know what I mean? I just want to get your view Yeah. of like if that had anything to do with it. I think it’s terrifying. [snorts] I’m going to be honest. I think it’s very terrifying. Um, and I I’ve studied a lot of American constitutional history and I find that it’s one of the things that our founding fathers were fighting against.
Yeah. Was that too much government control? Mhm. And it it you know it it’s what we fought for. I know this sounds cheesy, but it’s what we fought for in the 1700s was less government control. And so I I I agree with you. I’m I’m terrified of it. I I think it was I think it was a bad bad direction that our country took. Um I understand the the the need. You got to go, oh well, we can’t we can’t catch these [bleep] unless we have this ability. Yeah. Yeah. Like put yourself like be Bush. Well, I mean Bush is a terrible example. I be be whoever whoever whoever’s in charge and you go, “Hey, you know what?
We don’t have enough power to to capture the people who are doing this. They’re they’re they’re caved dwelling, you know, flip phones of [bleep] you know, doing they’ve learned our system. You know, the one thing that you always do is like you always have to discern like who gains like the most what’s the most gain and that because you’re looking for motive obviously. It’s like you know like when you’re trying to solve a murder you’re looking for you’re looking for motive. Motive is is is the main thing. It’s like it’s that and the murder weapon. Obviously we you know this is a different scenario. So like we’re not looking for that but like what’s the motive?
Yeah. And who gained the most? And so it’s it’s and while obviously in every scenario when you’re just doing deductive reasoning, it it doesn’t mean that the person that gains the most is necessarily the bad guy in this in the scenario. But like you can’t it’s it’s the single largest infringement on the things that this country was founded upon. Yeah. Ever. And it and it allows the US government to in essence have cart blanch to to do whatever the [bleep] they want under they’re able to skirt the system all the [bleep] time with all these loopholes because of the Patriot Act. And I truly believe that’s how it operates.
They just do with impunity. They’re doing all this [bleep] And it’s just if you but like I I want to like reverse this because people won’t you don’t I don’t think you just do this just for a pure money play. I don’t think this is like a pure like oh pure money play. Mhm. I truly think that these feeble in in in my in my view of the situation and like my conspiracy of it, I truly think they believe that they’re doing the right thing and that it was a necessary sacrifice in order to achieve the greater good, which I don’t agree with whatsoever. I think it’s [bleep] and I think it’s insane.
It’s actually crazy. Yeah, it’s terrifying. It is. But in their minds are like, “Well, okay, you know, you have a couple thousand people, but we can be safer and we could be more secure.” Because if you look at it like, and this is how I view politicians cuz I hate politicians, is that they think they’re they know better than you. Yeah. And you you’re you’re just a little baby and you don’t really know anything. Let me take care of you because you’re too stupid to make your own decisions. I know what’s best for you. Trust me. And you get treated like a child. Yeah. And it’s just like I just need your vote so I can make the right decisions for you.
Yeah. I’ll take care of And like that’s the viewpoint of these people is that you’re you don’t know. And and this is where it gets into it gets in this conundrum like zero sum game where it’s like like I I truly believe we need a government. Obviously this show doesn’t go without a government. It doesn’t. But I I but I on the flip side I feel like the government is they they take too many liberties on our behalf like every like all these bills that get passed like every bill that gets passed they vote on it on our behalf. We’re not voting on these bills.
I don’t vote on this bill. I didn’t vote on the Patriot Act. They they weren’t they weren’t I wasn’t casting my vote. Our representatives were casting our votes for us on our behalf. So like it’s like a catch 22. It’s like yes, we do need a government. We do we need a system that operates and is for the people and is doing that. But it’s we’ve gone so far past our ways that they’re like we need to do this because you don’t know what you don’t know what’s best for you. I know what’s best for you. This is what’s best for the country. We’re going to this is what needs to happen in order for us to be safe and secure.
Yeah. So that’s where I’m that’s where my side comes in. I might be rambling. Obviously, I ramble all the time. Yeah. But but I do but back to the the point is are these politicians just taking advantage of the situation? Of course. At that time at that time you’re saying? Yeah. As opposed to causing it. No, they didn’t. No, they That’s the question that we’re we’re trying to solve. No, I agree. I don’t think they planned this. Yeah. Okay. They didn’t plan this. They had they had parts of it already trying to get passed or already written up. True. But not the whole not the whole thing.
It wasn’t like Oh, right. You know, before 9/11, the whole Patriot Act is is No, I think they they knew what they wanted. They they knew [clears throat] the changes they wanted to occur. They just didn’t have the catalyst. Yeah. And so when they found out about this potential catalyst, they, you [snorts] know, allowed it to allowed it to happen. Yeah. Like I don’t think that I don’t think that these people planned that. Like obviously I’m I’m on your side, Eric, that I think al Qaeda wanted to do this. Like they wanted to make a statement. They wanted They hate America. They’re [bleep] [bleep] Like they wanted to do this, but we let them do it.
We let them do it. Like if this wasn’t like, oh, US government planned 9/11. No, no, of course they didn’t. But they were like, this is an opportunity and we’re going to allow this. We’re going to take a lot of people subscribe to that. Yeah, of course. That it was an inside job and that we planned it. Oh, no. A lot of people do subscribe to that because they’re they’re looking at the endgame. Yeah. Like you take the endgame and you’re like, well, what’s the only way they could accomplish these things? They have to plan this. Yeah. But I think they just took advantage of a situation and that’s the best way to do it because you can I’m with you on that because you have no you have you have plausible deniability.
You’re like well I didn’t plan it. Who’s they? The people in in charge whoever the [bleep] that may be the people who are actually in charge. The question is we don’t know that. Yeah. Who do you I’ll give you this question. Who do you think is really in charge? Like I don’t think the politicians are in charge. Of course not. who funds the politicians campaigns. You cannot get elected in this country unless you have financial backing. So you’re saying it’s literally impossible. You’re saying right now Trump’s not in charge. No, somebody else is. Of course, 100%. And al and look look the presidency is only one office and and people stupidly believe that the president has like this like omnipotent power to like control everything.
They don’t. Yeah, there’s a reason this government was built the way it is. Checks and balances. Like no one office has unlimited power. Otherwise, it would be a dictatorship. It would it would be a monarchy. It would be a fascism type scenario like where there’s one supreme power. There’s not. And like the you guess who gets laws passed? It’s not the president. Yeah. Congress and the senate pass laws. It’s not it’s not the president. The president has power for sure. They are the commander-in-chief of the military apparatus. So, they have that power. But unless you’re like going to war, Yeah. the president has like abilities they can veto and they can like do but like but there is a limit to the power of that office.
Yeah. And it’s like and also it’s like I I can make an executive order but like I can get you can get vetoed by the other two branches of of the government of the government. It’s it that’s why it’s set up it’s set up to try to like insulate itself from like having one we we obviously built this government to get away from monarchy. Yeah. Like you know this one there’s one dude who like was born and was like I have all the power like [bleep] [bleep] you. Yeah that’s why voting at the midterm is so important. So true. So my point is like the people in in our system of government the people that actually have the power are the people that fund the people who are in office because you make concessions if you want to get voted in.
Like look at uh Ross Perau. Didn’t Ros Ross Perau was like one of the few candidates who tried to fund his own campaign. He was about to go he’s about to get bankrupted because you you can’t afford it. You cannot win. It was an independent. Well, that’s the Yeah, that was the other issue. No, but the other guy Bloomberg he like for 500 mil and he was like I’m out. Like I’m done. Like this is crazy. You can’t win. You like no one has the amount of money unless like Elon Musk tried to run but he can’t cuz he’s not he wasn’t he’s not he’s a naturalized citizen.
He’s not a US-born citizen. So he can’t run for the office. But like he’s the only person who has the money to do it. No. Like no one you can’t fund it. Yeah. You can’t. So it’s like what you do and this is why there’s lobbyists and there’s this whole system of government where it’s like the money controls what you do. The money controls policy. Hey, I’m going to fund your campaign. I need you to vote favorably in policy for XYZ. It’s just the way it is. Like and anyone who says differently has no eyes or ears like it just like look. No. So that’s why I’m saying it’s not like oh it’s not like Senator blah blah blah is like yeah let’s do this.
It’s just like the people who are the money behind it is like well look like we want to make this change. Here’s an opportunity. We’re we’re not doing it. Plausible deniability. We didn’t plan it which is true. We We didn’t execute it, which is true, but they allowed it to happen, so you’re still guilty. Yeah. You’re an accessory. Yeah. Well, there you go, guys.
