// THE SHORT VERSION

Part four of 9/11: Unanswered is the setup episode: Jorge, Sean, and Eric lay out the official record on three fronts before the full conspiracy episode drops next Tuesday. They open with the 9/11 Commission’s finding on the Pentagon: American Airlines Flight 77, a Boeing 757 hijacked by five men led by Hani Hanjour, struck the building’s west facade at roughly 9:37 a.m. and about 530 mph, with recovered debris, both black boxes, and DNA matched remains cited as evidence. From there the guys work through the points that make people uneasy: the low altitude corkscrew maneuver before impact, the small entry hole and limited visible wreckage, and how little camera footage of the strike has ever surfaced. They also untangle Donald Rumsfeld’s often misquoted 2.3 trillion dollar line, which traces back to an Inspector General audit of unreconciled Pentagon accounting entries, not missing cash.

The middle stretch covers the 19 hijackers: how investigators identified them through manifests, flight school records, and in flight phone calls, and the details that strike the hosts as strange, especially the intact paper passport of hijacker Satam Suqami, reportedly found on a New York street before the North Tower fell. They also walk through why cell phone calls from the planes are technically plausible at lower altitudes, and push back hard on theories that the calls were faked, calling that idea a step too far.

The episode closes on bin Laden’s official role as the Commission describes it, his string of denials to reporters in the weeks after the attacks, his later on camera claims of responsibility, and the documented but limited nature of his ties to CIA backed Afghan mujahideen groups in the 1980s, which the hosts are careful to frame as a theory some researchers raise, not a proven CIA connection.

“If my mom or my dad or my brother or my sister or my wife was on that plane, I would take that personally.”

— the guys, on the record
// THE EVIDENCE
  • The 9/11 Commission’s official finding: American Airlines Flight 77, hijacked by five men led by Hani Hanjour, struck the Pentagon’s west facade at approximately 9:37 a.m. at roughly 530 mph, with recovered debris, both black boxes, and DNA matched remains cited as supporting evidence
  • The hosts note the Pentagon strike has almost no public video, just a few blurry security camera stills, and question why a high security site would have so little footage compared to the multiple angles captured of the Twin Towers
  • Some researchers argue the entry hole’s size and the limited visible wreckage look inconsistent with a 757 impact, a theory the hosts discuss but say they cannot personally verify since none of them is an aviation or structural expert
  • Donald Rumsfeld’s September 10, 2001 statement about 2.3 trillion dollars in untracked Pentagon transactions traces to an Inspector General audit of incompatible DoD accounting systems and unsupported adjustments, not missing cash, a distinction the hosts spell out directly
  • The Commission traced the 19 hijackers through passenger manifests, flight school records, and in flight phone calls, though the hosts flag the intact paper passport of hijacker Satam Suqami, reportedly recovered on a New York street before the North Tower collapsed, as the detail they find hardest to explain
  • The Commission’s official account has bin Laden directing the attacks from Afghanistan; the hosts note his public denials in the weeks after 9/11 preceded his later on the record claims of responsibility, and state plainly there is no credible evidence the CIA recruited, trained, or controlled him despite his past ties to CIA backed Afghan mujahideen groups
// CASE QUESTIONS
Does episode 168 cover the Pentagon attack?
Yes. It opens with the official 9/11 Commission finding that American Airlines Flight 77, hijacked by five men led by Hani Hanjour, struck the Pentagon’s west side at approximately 9:37 a.m., then walks through why some observers see irregularities in the footage, entry hole size, and debris record. Those points are presented as open questions the hosts are weighing, not as established fact.
What did Donald Rumsfeld actually say about 2.3 trillion dollars?
The episode clarifies a commonly misquoted line. Rumsfeld’s September 10, 2001 remark traces to an Inspector General audit that found the Pentagon had made about 2.3 trillion dollars in unsupported accounting adjustments across incompatible bookkeeping systems, meaning the department could not document what the money was spent on, not that cash had physically gone missing.
Is Khalid Sheikh Mohammed named as responsible for planning the attacks?
The episode repeats the 9/11 Commission’s account that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed proposed the so called planes operation concept to bin Laden, who then approved and funded it. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was charged over the attacks but has never been convicted, and his case remains unresolved at Guantanamo Bay.
Was bin Laden a CIA asset?
The episode states directly that there is no credible evidence the CIA recruited, trained, paid, or controlled bin Laden, even though he operated among Afghan mujahideen groups the CIA backed against the Soviets in the 1980s. The idea that he was an actual CIA operative is presented as a theory some researchers raise, not as something the episode asserts as fact.

So, uh, big thank you guys. All right. So, the first thing that we’re going to tackle now is the Pentagon.

And I just want everyone to know we’ve gotten some comments about, you know, maybe we’re not presenting like the other side. We’re being one-sided. I mean, this is not We’re not even in the conspiracies right now. We’re not even on a on on a side yet. No, I’m literally reading the official nar like according to like this is the official narrative and then we’re just like chatting like we’re not even talking about the conspiracies. We’re just chatting and to give people like an orientation of where this is going because now we can see the whole layout is we’re doing this episode tonight and then next week is the full gamut of conspiracies.

Correct. Mhm. Every story, dancing Israeli story, the the the artists that were there beforehand, the the phone calls, every conspiracy that you can think of is next week. Um, so you guys are going to want to tune in for that as well. Yes. So, here we go. Official narrative of the Pentagon. So, American Airlines Flight 77 was a Boeing 757 struck the west facade of the Pentagon at approximately 9:37 a.m. The aircraft was traveling at high speed, which they anticipated to be about 530 mph and at low altitude. It destroyed the exterior columns and penetrated into the building. A section of the structure collapsed about 30 minutes later.

Recovered evidence included aircraft debris with airline markings, landing gear components, fuselage fragments, and both black boxes. Human remains were DNA matched to passengers and crew. Eyewitnesses, limited security camera frames, and structural engineering assessments support an aircraft impact. Crazy. And in in Discord only, actually, I put a a forensic photo. I don’t know if you guys saw it, but it’s in the thread about 911. I have to check that out. Oh, I did see that. It’s hard to look at because it shows where they found the remains. The remains. Oh, god. And so it almost account it it it has highlighted the hijackers remains and all the passengers.

Okay. So it’s it’s it’s tough to look at cuz it’s like gruesome. Yeah. It’s gruesome, but it’s it’s a very forensic report. Yeah. So it’s not just like you know what we see and and and I and and obviously we we’ll get into that but like there’s a point where it’s like okay you know you can’t allow like the general public to just see everything you know and obviously that’s like one of the biggest like well where are the where’s like the remains like where’s like the fragments of the plane like we don’t really get to see like you’re not being shown. So you know there’s there’s a part of that like cuz I mean I’m probably the biggest one.

And I’m like, where the plane? Like, where’s the like there’s a piece of the plane. Where’s anything? Cuz I didn’t see. But, you know, there is the other side of the coin. It’s like you don’t want your kids watching the news with you and there’s like corpses. It’s not, you know, you don’t want them to see that. It’s like it’s not really fun or pleasant for anybody. It’s interesting. They they did recover the black box. They said they said both black boxes. I didn’t know they had two. I didn’t know they had a good point. But not on the other one, by the way. I don’t know if we touched on that.

Not on the not on the Twin Tower one. No, but granted that’s a lot more destruction to sift through. For sure. But it was I think it was like the first time that they haven’t recovered one from from a plane crash. Yeah. Unless it’s like in the ocean. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, they did find United 93s. Oh, they did? Yeah, but not not the towers. Oh, 93. Yeah. Yeah. And so and I’m pretty sure I mean we might have to look this up. I mean the isn’t the black does the black box just record like telemetry data and then like what like what’s going over the comms?

I think maybe that will answer it which is that there’s two I think one might do what you’re talking about the telemetry data and then the other is maybe audio but it would only be audio from like the radios. It wouldn’t be that like what’s happening inside like the main chat. There’s no Yeah. There’s no hidden microphone. Yeah. To like record like your conversations. All right. The relatively small visible exterior hole is explained by the wings folding or shearing on impact while the fuselage continued inward. The strike zone was undergoing renovation which reduced occupancy which we did discuss when we went over that. Yeah, there’s so many questions about the Pentagon and I have questions but also I have answers but I don’t know if those answers are good enough for the questions.

Right. Meaning meaning it is the most we’ve posted videos about it. It’s it’s the least amount of footage in this entire Oh, for sure. By far. 911 situation. Little camera at the um like security gate or something, which is ancient CCTV. I mean, it’s not like it’s almost shot from like the Nokia green screen phone. It’s almost like photos, not not even like real video. It’s like three little stills. That’s all you get. And it’s going by so fast that you can’t even really tell anything. So like here’s two sides of it. One is a how is it possible that a pilot can take a plane that’s going 500 plus miles an hour and it’s a massive plane and be that low for that long of a period of time because it was low.

It was extremely low. Yeah. And it was kind of just for for I don’t want to say a long period of time but multiple seconds of it being really low. So it hit the target. Well, it’s also not even that. How do you take How does a shitty pilot do that? I was going to say even right before that, a good pilot for sure. Even right before that, they did a huge It was a corkcrew like maneuver, which I mean I think that that that guy was the least experienced out of all the pilots. I think the hijacker or at least he’s the one that like got kicked out or or something like that, right?

I mean, they were all pretty bel sub. They were all pretty like below board. Yeah, good question. I think you’re right. I think you’re right. How how do you how do you make that move? Yeah, I don’t know. I just see it just seems like an advanced Yeah. move for Seems like a very top gun kind of like move. No, but you’re doing it with a 757. It’s not like some like it’s not going to open. And that’s the thing is is I could see it logically hitting at a different angle. Yeah. Not straight on. Yeah. Like more top down. Yeah. And I know nobody can see my hand, but they feel like 45 degrees.

Yeah. Yeah. But it went like this. It was flat. Yeah, like what 20 feet off the ground. But it’s also when you’re and to be able to do that going 500 miles an hour. Correct. That’s that’s where the diff cuz like any twitch and like that thing is just it’s going to hit the ground. It’s really difficult. So then the other it’s not impossible but it’s it’s something to think. So that’s that’s one thing that I don’t understand or it just def it doesn’t make sense to me. Then the other part that doesn’t also make sense to me is the lack of footage. We have we have a lot of footage from the towers uh planes hitting multiple angles here.

Here’s the one thing that I that I thought about like you know when I’m like trying to pick this apart by myself is that this is also the Pentagon. It’s not like there’s like bystanders just walking around on the lawn and there’s obviously not a lot of third party footage, right? You know, cuz it’s the Pentagon. It’s like it’s not a tourist spot. No, it’s it’s it’s also kind of nooked away, but it’s the Pentagon. Like, why is there not more security cameras everywhere? True. So, and then but to Sean’s point, I think there is there’s he’s correct in in a sense where it is the Pentagon.

And so, if there is no conspiracy behind it, perhaps there is more footage that we’re not being showed. I mean, [clears throat] I think to Jorge’s point is, yeah, there should you would think they would have more security cams. Like this is like a top secret. They should be policing it better. Like there should be some sort of like 7-Eleven has more. Way more. I’ve seen the screens. There’s like 100 [laughter] cameras in place. Sure. So, but it’s possible though that it is the Pentagon and they’re not releasing it. Oh, for sure. Cuz they’re going to be like national security. Yeah. But again, another counter to that is it’s been 25 years.

Yeah. Also, what is what is out security about it now? And recently even more stuff came out like declassified like you would think that there would be like freedom freedom of information act like happens but then again it’s like I know we have the freedom of information act but I’m guarantee there’s ways around that totally national security national security [laughter] and then the other [clears throat] part is there are a lot of witnesses that say it was a plane like actual witnesses on recording going. I saw a plane. Sure. Right. So again, yeah, all these things I I just keep doing questions and then answers, but I’m still like there’s no question.

We got to have this is that’s the whole point of this is not to like give a con. It’s just okay. What’s weird, right? And then okay, yeah, what what are potentialities for those weird things? Like can is there like explainable solution for that? Mhm. I mean, and this like one of these points is is kind of on that same note is that the early photographs show very limited large recognizable aircraft wreckage. Yeah. Like you don’t things that you would anticipate seeing when you think of an airplane crash, a wing or like giant chunks of metal like you know maybe one of the turbons is like the tire.

Yeah. Something like it’s a huge plane. You would think there’d be like some large part. Yeah. And we did put some photos a hijacker’s passport just something. We did put some photos of the photo of So I went to the FBI archives and I did a post on our Instagram that showed what images exist of plane debris at the Pentagon. And it’s basically like a little rivet. Yeah. like a window or like a you know aluminum like like piece of scrap scrap. Yeah. E etc. So that’s that’s and that’s why people were like these don’t seem like it just seems odd that there’s not larger elements.

Yeah. So and then the next one here was like the size and shape of the entry hole are claimed to be inconsistent with a large airliner. Yeah, you know, like they think that the wings should have caused wider damage than that’s why you get into the the concept of like, okay, was it some sort of low low yield missile or or something like that? So that I mean that is a lot of people think it was a missile. Oh yeah, for sure. I mean part of me thinks it was a missile, but then you know it’s like I don’t also want to discount the fact that you know there’s people who are dead.

So, it’s like, yeah, I can’t explain that. Like, I don’t have a I don’t have a way to Is it Is there a way? Sure. I mean, we’ll get into that in the conspiracy point, but you know, I one would think especially like, and granted, see, it’s like the Pentagon isn’t the same as it’s built differently than the towers are, you know? So, if you look at the holes in the towers, they’re pretty they look like a plane ran into it. Yeah. And I’m showing the the hole right now. That’s not it. It kind of just looks like a perfect tunnel, dude. It looks It looks like a like a Brinks truck ran through it, right?

So, but maybe the That’s the hole. Maybe the wing That’s the hole. That can’t be the hole. That’s That’s impossible. There’s no way. Okay, let’s try to make it. Cuz dude, like if it’s popped, the fuselage could barely fit through that hole. There’s a 757 standing right next to it. You can Yeah, look at standing right next to it. Like if that’s the real hole. So for those that are listening and that’s from the FBI. Yeah, this is an FBI photo. The hole is It looks like a tunnel. Like if a train was going to go through the tunnel. Yeah. But it’s only about let’s say 12 ft.

Yeah. M max 12t tall. 12 feet. So there’s a guy there’s a there’s actually an FBI guy standing right next to it and he’s what six feet and so it probably goes up to 10 Yeah. 10 ft and then maybe let’s say what maybe 15t wide 20 ft wide. Yeah. But you’re standing on a plane like let’s say you’re walking down the aisle. How tall how how high. Do you know the wings you go to the bathroom? You know I mean way bigger than that but 12 feet bigger. Really? You’re not accounting for like where do you think the bags go? Where do you think the gas goes in above?

Yeah. Yeah. And Yeah. It’s They’re humongous. And you know what the wingspan So the wingspan is is 124 ft. Okay. And I’m not saying like, oh, like the wings going that fast should like slice the building in half. Like of course not. Like obviously the building the building is far sturdier than wings. Yeah, 100% agree. But to have no damage whatsoever, not even to the outer and it’s just a hole. True. Is odd. True. Like there should be some not a not a not a dramatic amount, but some let’s take a look at the World Trade Center. So the first plane that hit, you see the wings go through into the building.

Yeah. So we’ve seen the photos and the video. You see, you know what I mean? You have it wing went through the building. Yeah. Yeah. So now that’s a plane going 500 mph into a building. Yeah. So in if you just took that exact example and you took it over to the Pentagon, then it should have the wing at least some entry similar like similar similar. They’re not built the same. It’s not a highrise brick all brick wall whereas the other one was kind of like not staggered but glass windows and like Yeah. [laughter] No, I also what I’m saying is not a solid wall.

Yeah. I also think like in in the Twin Towers sake there was a uh it had there had to be like aesthetics because it’s like if they’re office buildings like you know they got like like big windows. It’s not a solid brick solid brick wall. So like sure but there there’s I mean look at the pictures guys. There’s it’s just a giant hole. Yeah. It’s just like a And there’s no Yeah. no evidence of a a wing hitting anything. Yeah. And there’s uh there’s only a couple photos um because it the that part of the building collapsed and so then those photos are gone or I mean that that uh the hole is gone cuz the part of the building collapsed.

So yeah, I mean it’s definitely that’s a that is one of the that’s one of the big that’s one of the big ones. Yeah. Yeah. Which just just going back to I mean when you look at it was just the hole nothing on the sides then it that’s why it also fuels the conspiracy of the missile. Yeah. Yeah. Because obviously something hit it for sure cuz all we see as the public is a hole is is the video footage of a flash Yeah. Mhm. and then a hole. So from the viewpoint of a citizen that has no other information. Yeah. You’re going off what you got.

Suspect. Yeah. Yeah, I mean that’s the next point is that there’s there’s no high quality continuous video of the impact whereas and and look I mean obviously we’re talking like high quality in this in the sense of the high the quality at the time. Yeah. You know, cuz like I remember when I watched the towers get hit. I mean, at the time it was very vivid. Like I was like, “Holy sh” I you watched the planet and it were like, “Oh my.” There was like, you know, there was no if ends or buts. There was no nothing. There was no question like a a plane just Yeah.

when you saw collapse. Yeah. But also, we have no video of inside. No, we have no photos of inside. No. Or do we? I don’t think so. I haven’t seen any photos. Well, that once again, it’s also like we have to take into account this is the Pentagon. So, it’s like they’re not gonna release and which I think also just shrouds it in a whole another veil because it’s the Pentagon. Yeah. And I’m not trying to be disrespectful to the lives that were lost at the Pentagon. No, we’re just discussing it’s just we can’t ask these questions without You know what I Right. I don’t think we’re asking the questions in a distasteful manner.

I don’t think we’re like Okay. Yeah. I’m just saying this is why people have these thoughts is because of these things like this is the these are the things. Yeah. And like we already talked about, you know, that this pattern is kind of more well these could be construed as consistent with some sort of missile strike especially like a directed cuz you can have there’s certain types of like munitions that can be used, you know, like obviously a nor you hit it with a Scud missile just everything’s gone. Everything’s blow up the whole block. Everything’s disintegrated. them. But, you know, ones like bunker busters, there’s there’s missiles and that are meant to penetrate before before launching the payload.

Yeah. Like, they’re literally meant to penetrate in and then explode on the inside. Yeah. So, I I don’t know. I mean, I’m not a I’m not a explosives expert, so I can’t tell you whether or not this is consistent with a bomb. I mean, a missile. I I don’t know enough to to like Yeah. be smart about it. But, we do know that this plane went missing. the people on them perished and that’s that’s what we do know. So what does that mean? Meaning if there was if it was a missile then where are the people? You got to ask that question. That’s that’s what I was saying is like you know like people died.

So like it’s either like is this some giant cover up and they’re all like whit pro or I don’t know. Yeah. Yeah. No. I don’t know. That’s a That’s a different That’s for a different Yeah. It’s for a different different day. That’s for next Tuesday. Yeah. Um so the next and these next two are where we people really get fired up. So yeah. Um the impact zone where it was hit, it contained Army Financial Management, budget analysis, and accounting offices. And there were multiple accountants and budget analysts who were killed and that Yeah. in that zone. Mhm. So, okay. But then that leads into the next one, which is on September 10th, 2001, which is the day before, Donald Rumsfeld stated that the Pentagon could not track $2.3 trillion in transactions.

And and I think Eric might have brought No, he brought this up to me on a sidebar. So, most people misconstrue what Donald Rumsfeld actually said. People thought that they were that Donald Rumsel had said there’s $2.3 trillion dollars missing gone or like Yeah. Yeah. But technically that is that’s implied. What he’s saying is like they they don’t they can’t track the money. Yeah. So there’s $2.3 million in transactions that they don’t trillion $2.3 trillion in transactions that they have no idea what they that there’s no there’s no record of them. Yeah. Insane. Like what are they for? like what did you spend $2.3 trillion on?

Like what is it? Like there’s no there’s no receipts. There’s no there’s no like trail. They don’t know which is in essence is like missing money because you can’t track what it was spent on so therefore was it ever you know if a if a transa if a transaction is done on your balance sheet like did it was there a transaction? Yeah. No. And that that is definitely the argument. We uh posted a video and it was taken down by Tik Tok. Thank you. Thank you Tik Tok. the most the most censored platform that exists. Um, Tik Tok takes down even if it’s a news thing.

Eric posted a picture of of the 911 commission book. Yes. And in Tik Tok, it goes against Tik Tok’s community guidelines. We got a strike. We got a literal strike against us. Anyways, [laughter] um, but the point being is we posted the interview or the press conference. The press conference, right? Yeah. And he does say that they can’t track it. Sean’s right. Yeah. So, I just wanted to put it in the correct context. It’s still sketchiest, but it’s not like you had a bunch of money sitting in a vault and it’s like now the money’s out of the vault and they’re like, “What the stole the money?” It’s that they spent this money and they don’t know what it was spent on.

They have no idea. You’re so unorganized in your business or you know, let’s just say the business of government that you can’t track that amount of money, which is if this was a normal business and not the federal government, you’d be going to prison. Yeah. Tax evasion. The IRS comes in to audit you and you’re like, they’re like, “Well, we didn’t get paid taxes and it’s $2.3 trillion.” They’re like, “Well, I don’t know where it is. I don’t know what you’re talking about.” It is it is interesting because it does kind of correlate to what happened a year a year ago or two years ago when Elon Musk uh yeah when he started uncovering all the all the Yeah.

What was that that Doge or whatever? Yeah. The department of whatever whatever governmental efficiency. Yeah. Yeah. Uh now an interesting attempt by Yeah. Musk, but it’s just interesting because he also or that organization also talked about how unorganized everything is and it’s spending and wastefulness and not even fraudulent. Yes. How See, that’s that’s why it’s a problem there. You It’s our tax money and it’s not just like a small amount. This is like this is like earthshattering amounts of money. Like this is literally like vaporizing countries amounts of money. We need like a hardcore accountant person to come in and just get every Well, maybe like why did that fail?

They just I think that’s another it’s just such a it’s such a contested hotbed thing and it was it became it was so politicalized that it like even even if it was like the best of intentions it was doomed to fail because so many people are you and then because you’re uncovering their their money trail. Yeah. Did he did he give up or did he Well, his time was up. Mhm. Okay. So like it was only for like 6 months I believe or something like that. So it wasn’t like a give up. It seems a little bit like a give up. No, but also I think it’s but him and him him and Trump I think like got into it and they didn’t Epstein thing.

He’s like how much are you allowed to do? Like how much can a civilian get access? True. Yeah. Like you know like that there’s a point where they’re going to be like no get out of here billionaire. They’re like look we’ve already failed eight audits. Who gives a about a knife? Like true. That’s the thing. Like the the Pentagon has failed eight audits and I’m sorry like if I fail an audit I’m going to jail. I know I’m going to prison. They don’t give a They’ll laugh at me. Like honestly this is a great point. This is a really good point in the fact just of how our society or how our government is running right now uh or even back then in 2001.

Like this is not okay. It’s rules for thee, not for me. Like you have to follow the rules but we don’t because we make the rules and it’s your money we’re spending. It’s not their money. They don’t produce any money. It’s us who produce the money. We’re the GDP. So, yeah. [clears throat] So, that’s that’s obviously I mean, I’m sure some of that gets obviously uh spent on on actual national security, actual military and and all kinds of Yeah. But hey, you should you should have better accounting to be able to prove that. Not 2.3 trillion. I know. Like, shit’s running on like DOSs. Like, come on.

Like, update this What’s our military budget? It’s like the accumulation of all the Clinton administration. Yes. [laughter] Jesus. All right. So, the the United States military budget for 2001 was $35 billion. So, it’s three years of the entirety of the budget. Well, dude, I mean, it could be like I mean, our budget now is like what, a trill, I think, or something like that. It’s crazy. It’s like so much money. H, maybe a half a trill. So that’s like me saying to the IRS, hey, I can’t really track the last three years of my expenditures. Yeah. And they’re like, you know what? And and but then it it goes it goes full circle because the the part that was hit happened to be accounting and budget analysis.

So then it’s like, wait, they just happened to hit the one spot where it’s like, oo, yeah, maybe we should delete the, you know, what would be a good deep dive, too, is looking into how much of our accounting in the government was digitized in 2001. That’s a good That’s a good, you know what I mean? Because it was post.com. Oh, yeah. There was so there was internet. Yeah. Like it was post Y2K. Yeah. Like meaning a lot of it should just be in computers, not in some file cabinet in the Pentagon office sidewing. So here’s here’s just a quick I don’t know. I mean, could maybe it’s like like floppy discs in there or some like All right.

So the figure came from the Inspector General’s audit of the fiscal year 1999. So it found that the Pentagon had made about 2.3 trillion in unsupported accounting adjustments. So, it’s not spending. They were adjusting. Oh, they were like switching the samples. I don’t know. The the DoD had dozens of incompatible accounting systems that didn’t talk to each other. So then when the auditors try to reconcile the books, clerks made journal entries to force the numbers to match. And then Oh, cuz Yeah. So that’s why you have like, you know, you’re like, “Hey, like I this is how much came in.” And they’re like, “Well, here’s how much is going out.” But like those numbers are not the same.

Cooking the books. Yeah. like [laughter] make them match. So find expenses, put them in as manual entries. Yeah, exactly. I think that’s exactly it. It’s even kind of worse because this the same dollar could get adjusted multiple times [snorts] [laughter] which is how you get the figure that’s like bigger than the entire federal budget. Yeah, that’s why that’s why I was confused like wait a minute. Yeah, that doesn’t even make sense. But check this out. So the time span was really from n the 1999 fiscal year, but similar audits were showing 1.1 trillion for the year 2000. Okay. So they’re just they’re they’re cooking it up.

Also again, and I brought this up in the after hours, Clinton. This is Clinton era. This is not Bush. This is fully Clinton administration after eight years. Well, maybe this is like why it’s like it was like the golden age of Clinton or like they’re like just make it look like we’re the and we’re like [laughter] we are killing the game. Look at us. We’re dominating. He’s like I’m out. It is strange because when I was growing up I always thought the Clinton era was like prosperous. Oh yeah. It was great. We balanced the budget for the first time. Oh yeah. Yeah. People were making people were making great money was crushing.

Killing it. Internet was here. The bowls were you know it was awesome. True. But boys. Cowboys, [laughter] baby. A lot of this stuff, everything that we go over always points back to this was actually handled during the Clinton administration. I mean, they were during it was during his time. Yeah, I know. Oh god. So, yeah. I mean, obviously we’ll we’ll table that for the next one, but it’s it’s there’s it’s a whole oyster to to shuck open. So, then there are claims. This is once again claims. I’m not saying this is a fact. There are claims that your opinion, Sean? No, this is not my opinion.

That engine parts or other debris recovered does not match a Boeing 757. Once again, I’m not a Boeing technician, so like and I I haven’t exam I I I don’t know who examined the part like I don’t know. M I’ve heard this but there are claims I heard that one there’s that like u also I heard it at ground zero in New York where they say the engines some people had said that the engines were not engines that were in the American Airlines planes. Yeah. So that that that also that this time so it was like like if you like for example let’s say you got into a car accident and uh you have a Toyota, right?

And then we’re doing an investigation and we find that in the wreckage it was a Mazda. Like it was a like a Honda six-cylinder, a Mazda pipe. And you’re like, “Wait a minute. Jorge was in a crash with his Toyota stock Tundra.” Yeah. [laughter] The So that’s I mean it’s it’s in the conspiracy land where they go those engine parts were not part of that plane or that series of planes. Yeah. It also ties into the it ties into the next point which is that apparently some eyewitness accounts described the plane and it said described that it looked different from a 757 um or to report a missile like object.

Can you tell 75747? You know, but no, but here we can’t, but there’s people who are like plane people. There’s like there’s people who are car people who like they can hear an engine. They’re like, “Oh, you hear that 250 small block?” And I’m like, “What did you just say? I have no idea what you’re talking about.” True. That nause. You hear that nause going on? That nause. I’m assuming that the Pentagon is a high concentration of intelligent specialists. For sure. 100%. So perhaps in that in that uh vein. Yeah. They’re like it didn’t look like a 77 to me. It looked like a like a blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

Also half of them are military. Oh, for sure. Yeah. So, and then those other half are probably Air Force, dude. I’m I’m telling you, so there’s got Okay, bro. There’s Look, this this exact this exact stretching here. No, [laughter] I know I’m stretching. No, this exact point is made was made, excuse me, 100% clear to me just yesterday. M and I’ll explain the story and it’ll make sense. Okay. So, I was getting my wife a new car and there’s this couple at the desk in front of me and I’m just like waiting forever and you know the sales guy is trying to make small talk.

He’s got like a Randy Moss like statue on his thing. He’s like, “Oh yeah.” He’s like, “You play fantasy football?” And the guy’s like, “No, I I don’t watch any sports.” And he’s like, you instantly like uh you know, like instantly. And he’s like, “What do you do?” And he’s like, “I He’s like, “I do racing sims.” He’s like, “That’s what I’m into. I I do I racing sim but like a intense one.” I know a couple people, but but that’s my point is like people are different. Like to me, I’m like racing sims. I’m like, but like not everyone is like me. No, but also also a huge industry in the gaming segment is flight simulators.

Right. going. So they get they get in. He’s just saying that people have I’m saying people have different interests and like some people are car people, some people might be like plane enthusiasts or some people take pictures of birds, you know, like so meaning like Yeah. If someone’s Oh yeah, that’s not a 757. It’s possible they know cuz even though I wouldn’t I couldn’t tell you any plane. Yeah. So it’s those are really the main points. It’s like the the entry hole being very circular. No apparent wing markings. Obviously, the lack of images and the lack of video. Also, not just very circular, but it’s way it seems way too small for like the size of a plane.

Yeah, it just seems or or it’s like the exact size like like a tight fit like like you can just squeeze that right through. Yeah. Uh, also the lack of, you know, obviously [snorts] the apparency of a lack of debris, uh, inconsistencies supposedly with debris and then the fact that it was the accounting footage accounting department that got hit and with the the talks of Rumsfeld [snorts] with the transaction inconsistencies. So that those are what kind of build the building blocks of the conspiracy are with the Pentagon. Yeah. We’ll get into far deeper into the conspiracy realm on the next episode. This is just to kind of it’s like a prep.

It’s a foundation. Yeah, this is like the prep of like, okay, let’s talk about what’s weird and then we go into the conspiracies and then after that on the final episode of well, not really of the series, but the final episode of 911 specific to the date is uh our summations. Yeah. Okay. So, the next is the hijackers. M. So the 911 commission and the FBI identified 19 hijackers linked to al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda or al-Qaeda. It’s Kada, but then al-Qaeda’s in Europe. Oh, that’s Is that what it is? Okay. I always get that flipped. Okay. So, either way. Either way. Yeah. Um, identification arrested on passenger manifests, airport CCTV, flight school records, financial trails, recovered personal effects, DNA were available, cockpit voice recorders, and real-time cell phone and airphone calls from passengers and crew describing the hijackers.

So, we did two hours. Yeah, we went very on the hijackers. Went very deep into the the each of the individual hijackers, which ones were on the planes. uh the the was it the the cap system flagging multiple flagging 50 freaking% of [laughter] the guys. So if you if at this point you’re like oh I don’t know what they’re talking about then actually you need to go back yeah because we went very in depth into the guys. Yeah. Go pause and go back to the rise of al-Qaeda. Yes. Yeah. So then um there was a one intact passport belonging to Satam Alakami uh was recovered near the World Trade Center site.

Other documents and effects were found at various crash sites. Um, al-Qaeda publicly claimed responsibility. Sure, that’s fine. And then several of the hijackers had received flight training in the United States. Yeah. So, that’s obviously, like I said, that was a really brief because we we went in at great detail to these guys. So, the first is like the 90 lb elephant in the room. Okay. The intact paper passport [snorts] of Satam Elsatami surviving the high-speed impact fire and collapse is seemingly impossible. You got better odds of winning the Powerball. I mean, you have better odds of winning the Powerball and surviving the the plane crash and the Mega Man in the same day.

[laughter] So, this is the World Trade Center one, right? Correct. This was this is the password that was found at in the wreckage of the World Trade Center. Yeah. or near in the vicinity of the World Trade Center collapse. Yeah, it was some person uh and then he turned it into a some witness. It flies bystanders or whatever. Does it walk through like this the the like the steps that this passport has to go through? Right. First of all, okay, passport, let’s say, best case scenario, it’s in like his like back pocket. Yeah. Best case. Worst case, it’s inside of his backpack in like next to the laptop where I stuff mine in there.

Why would he travel with it? It could be a carryon. It’s in the over No, but it’s in the over. Yeah, it’s in the overhead bin inside of a carry-on bag. Would it ever be in your checked? No, you have to get on the plane. You can’t check it and then get through security. What do you care? Like No, I know. I know the wild card is that you’re hijacking. So, these there’s not normal activities, but I’m just trying to think. I mean, we’re also we’re also trying to think where it would have been. Well, no, remember we had somebody write in that said that you could technically at that time you you or even now you can get through without an ID, but you have to fill out paperwork.

But let’s just say let’s just say it was it was in the plane because that seems like the most probable he would have it on. I mean you Oh, okay. The password. Let’s I would assume it has to be in the plane if it like No, I’m saying it’s like on his person. Okay. Yeah. Not like in the not in the under not like with the with the bags. Yeah. I think you have like less chance get the bags because then you’re not allowing for like it to be flown off thrown out of the building. But anyways, you’re inside of an in you’re inside of an encapsulated Yeah.

airtight literally airtight. That’s why it’s pressurized. Yeah. Tube that that hits the building instantly. The giant fire plume explosion. Yeah. I just I don’t unless it was ejected out of the thing, which how it seems so impossing [clears throat] with him or some and then somehow it survives the fire. Somehow it survives a collapse, dude. I know. It’s just It’s I can’t even like So, let’s go back a little bit. I can’t even make it. Let’s go back. Let’s go back a bit. Um, so this guy uh Satam. Yeah, Satam. So Tom, he was on flight 11. Uh first plane that hit. Yeah. He was seated in 10B.

Mhm. I’m sure he wasn’t in 10b. Yeah. He was probably at the time. So he was one of the muscles. Okay. You know what I mean? Like he wasn’t flying the plane. He wasn’t flying the plane. Muhammad Ata was flying the plane. He’s the he’s one of the more famous I don’t want to say famous. Infamous. Infamous. There is a better word things. But so that means he was probably at the front of the plane but not in the cockpit. I’m just trying to like lay out like exactly what I think there would be better odds if he was at the back of the plane honestly.

Yeah. True. Cuz the front of the plane that’s that’s initi it’s obviously it penetrated. Yeah. There’s a there’s there’s going to be a penetration before the before the mass is going to get stopped. Yeah. By the support beams. Like it’s not going to go all the way through. So then it has to go through the impact, the initial massive explosion. Yep. The the the then monumental collapse, hundreds, hundreds of thousands of tons. The fires that burned for 40 days. Yeah. You just said that. Uh [snorts] and well, it burned, let’s just say, in the tower. Mhm. Let’s say it, let’s say it it lodged into the tower, right?

At 8:46. Yeah. Yeah. Then it collapsed at like 10:00. So, it’s an hour and 20 minutes of burning. Then it collapsed. Then it was found, dude. I couldn’t I couldn’t find my debit card. [laughter] And dude, and and there was there was nothing that happened. Like literally nothing happened. And I weird. It doesn’t It’s a to me it’s if that was the only piece of information I had, I’d be like something’s growing. Chalk it. Can we chalk it up as like chaos? No. Impossible. like things are, you know what I mean? Like just things happen that are possible. Yeah. I don’t I don’t think in the realm of phys I think this breaks the laws of physics.

Like I just don’t feel like So here’s another it’s time warped a wormhole and then like No, I don’t I I don’t think it can actually happen. Yeah. Like you could run this sim like a trillion times and I don’t think it happens. Yeah. So, this is a this is a horrible somber statistic, but I think it’s relevant to what we’re talking about. Okay. And uh okay, in the entirety of the World Trade Center, there are,00 people where no remains have been found. Yes, I know. And we talked about that. We talked about that, right? Okay. So, what does that mean? That means they were incinerated.

Either that. Yeah. Yeah. that seems or pulverized. Yeah. Whatever the word is, right? But they they were never found. They were never recovered. Yeah. So then it leads to the point of like how could how could a paper passport be recovered when like thousands of people are just astro nomical. Could it have fallen out before the collapse? It’s pressure. Does that make sense? But so okay, impact. Yeah. Like walk us through how it’s even remotely like just just imagine. But even if it flies out, then everything collapses on top. So how are they going to find it? Cuz they found it not after like days or digging through everything they found.

So the passport was found on I think it was near Vassie Street. It was by a pedestrian. It was after the planes hit but before they collapsed. What? And it was given to it was given to a police officer and then the building collapsed shortly afterwards. I did not know that. So see it’s it’s even more like there is there is even more improbable from the impact. Yeah. From the impact like I feel like it’s more probable to find something in the wreckage because like sure not everything will burn up. I’m sure they found, you know, like a keyboard and like shoe or like, you know, just random or like random things in the wreckage, but prior and it just flies away to another street.

It just seems it’s too it’s too much of a coincidence. So, the only explanation is that it was planted. Oh, sorry. What? [laughter] My bad. It flew it impact and then it flew out. How? I know, but that’s that would that that’s the only explanation. I don’t know how, but like right like it flew out of Didn’t it instantly go up in flames as soon as like as soon as it it impacts and then it’s like an explosion? Yeah. Yeah. You see the legit explosion? It was an explosion in the front and the back. Yeah. Everything blew up. It was like Or is that the second plane?

The second plane had a a double explosion out the out the back of the plane and or out of the tower. I can’t remember. Yeah, but that’s a very big fire. That’s when the uh the engines hit the building. So if he’s like towards the front, okay, fine. Like maybe it could kind of like penetrate right as it as as it impacts. It penetrates through and then once once you get close enough to the gas lines or like one of the gas lines gets broken by like the plane shearing and then it’s like, oh, there’s obviously sparks ever cuz it’s metal on metal and then that thing and then explodes.

I just it’s I I’m sorry. It’s a I just I I will never subscribe to like this being this being like a real world situation and we’re not going to get into the conspiracies of it. We won’t. But just know that I think it’s sketch sketches. But the only other way would be that it’s planted. Yeah. Next is several of the named hijackers were later reported alive by family members or media in their home countries creating unresolved identity discrepancies. Interesting. Yeah. I didn’t actually know about this when I was looking this up and I was like, h I kind of want to do a little more digging into that, but I just figured I’d leave that out there and and I knew on this one we’d probably get a lot of comments.

Yeah. So, I wanted to leave it open and like have someone who’s more learned tell me where to look. So, [clears throat] so this is basically family members later saying, “Oh, yeah, you know, Muhammad Ata was uh at the bakery.” Yeah. But also, right, like or whatever. But on the flip side of that, I’m like, why would their family members who are clearly like I don’t think it’s like they’re the al Qaeda is like the CIA where it’s like you don’t know what like my job is. I’m pretty sure they’re pretty open. Like we’d have to Yeah. We’d have to vet every witness statement and who they are, where they saw it, and you know, blah blah.

And again, how many times have we gone back to the fact that witness testimony is is unfortunately the worst form of testimony because it’s It’s also it’s like as with time it’s like even think of like your own memories, you know, where I’m like like remember we did that and you’re like well no this happened. I’m like no this happened and realize we’re both probably wrong and like none of that happened like both made up. Yeah. All right. One of the things is that they thought that it was very suspicious that the 19 hijackers were publicly identified so fast. No, but that’s because they knew they tracking them.

I don’t think I mean it’s like if you identify what planes they are then you’re looking at the manifest and then and then you’re cross referencing that with caps and then you’re like oh I think I think a lot of this came from um the phone calls that were on the planes. So for example Betty but did they know their names or just like there’s an Arab man? No. No. So you would have a passenger manifest of the names of people. She’s like, “It’s in seat 10B. That’s where he is.” And they’re like, “Okay, that that makes sense.” And then United 93, they had phone calls and they’re like, “They were in for first class and they were seat blah and blah.” Mhm.

You know what I mean? And so then they they put that together. These are phone calls. The hijackers names were released to the public on September 14th. So it was 3 days afterwards. And so that’s why they’re saying it was pretty fast. It was suspiciously fast. I mean, do I think yes, it I just think at that point in time with the the level of technology, it seems pretty fast. Yeah. I mean, 3 days to like identify all 19, but they did have a lot of info. They knew the flights, you know, they they had the manifest, they had the things. So, I mean, I think it’s possible.

The news was reporting on it live and they said it was Alicada like when it was still when it was live like Oh, that’s a good point. That’s a good point. Which I’m knew. You knew it was al Qaeda, but you didn’t know which Al Qaeda. Well, they knew. But we’ll get We’ll get to that later. We’ll get Well, this we put our neutral hats on. I know in this in this conversation, right? See, notice how I’ve been quite tepid in my responses to this Trust me, I get super fired up. It does chop my ass, though, that all of a sudden the intelligence You always come up with these scenes.

Oh, that that one’s been around for a while, bro. I don’t know why. Maybe not in Mexico, but not in Mexico. These parts. Ain’t nobody chapping ass over there. Ain’t nobody chapping. Ain’t nobody It’s too hot. No one’s chapping ass. What were you saying? Sorry, Eric. [laughter] Oh, then you’re done. You’re like, you just wanted to say we’re Chad. [laughter] I was like, continue, please. No, it’s What chaps your ass? It chaps my ass a little bit that the intelligence agencies figured it out so fast but they didn’t do anything beforehand. Meaning like, you know, I don’t know. Yeah, I haven’t put it into words correctly, but it just kind of bugs me that they then started working.

Well, also, isn’t it isn’t it interesting that like it took them three days to identify who did it, but it took them four years for the 911 commission to like conclude? I know. and like [clears throat] dollars or whatever, like the tiny little baby budget they had. Yeah. I found some quotes that were really weird to me, which was that uh the Bush administration officially said a couple times that do we really need a commission, like let’s focus on the war on terror. And we’re going to go into that in we’re going to go into that in the war on terror episodes. But that also pissed me off.

That’s annoying. Yeah. Like why do we even need to look into this? I mean that see that’s why like we know who did it like we need to f you know stop stop focusing on the past and like we need to focus on the war on terror in Afghanistan and this guy named Saddam Hussein. Yeah I know confusing you know what this reminds me of co Why are you asking questions? Just take it. Put it in your body. Why are you asking? We know it works. Yeah. Maybe. Do you want some fries and a cheeseburger? Oh my god, dude. I’ll never forget that guy. He’s like, “Oh my god, you see this delicious fries?” Oh, don’t you want this?

Fresh fries are [laughter] so like dude, how assying. Anyways, okay, back to the story. So, limited releases of the raw radar data, complete cockpit voice recordings, and full unedited passenger list is cited as selective transparency. I’m so I just don’t know why people think that they’re supposed to get all this like Well, I’m confused. Can you say it again? So, so pretty much synopsis is like people are saying it’s selective transparency that they’re not releasing all of the raw radar data, all of the cockpit voice recordings and unedited passenger lists to the public. I’m I’m sorry, but like I don’t think that that so selective transparency.

They’re meaning like oh they’re being transparent, but they’re not release the raw radar data. I’m like I don’t know why. Like I’m sorry. Like I if there’s a murder investigation, they’re like, “Why aren’t you releasing all of your evidence so that I can qual I can qualify it?” I just think that that’s a big that’s ridiculous. I I that specific statement I think is ridiculous. Yeah. I’m sorry. I Yeah, sure. I would love full transparency, but I’m like, you really think they’re going to give you all of this? Like, welcome to like Earth. Welcome to like America, bro. Yeah. Why don’t this isn’t It’s an ongoing investigation.

You’re not going to release everything. Exactly. Yeah. So like maybe after the fact. Sure. Was 911 like it is not like just a murder or you know what I mean? This seems a little much. So obviously this is which we went to great detail is that the hijackers had very limited or marginal piloting experience. Hani Hour’s skill in particular had been described by instructors as poor. Yet he allegedly performed a complex high-speed maneuver into the Pentagon. The one that we were talking and uh instructors are like he sucks at this. And Hanie, we posted the clip of our podcast and the security footage of him going through Yeah.

the security. Yeah. Um good point. We we went over it uh at the beginning of this episode, too, which was that it was a full 360. Yeah. It was a giant like uh just a giant like loop like a like a downward corkcrew. Yeah. And then at 500 plus miles an hour about 20 ft off the ground. Yeah. Or 15t less. Hovered like I don’t know what else to call it. Hovered across the field into the Pentagon. Yeah. It just It’s a seems complex. Yeah. It seems like an I mean like an accident. Yeah, like he accidentally succeeded. I don’t know. I don’t know. It seems I I understand the confusion on that point.

All right. So, the next one is, and we’ll get into this because we we did talk about this a bit, but the account of box cutters, mace, and threats successfully overwhelming four crews and passengers is viewed as insufficiently detailed or realistic. So, we talked about this and I believe it, dude. I believe that it’s unrealistic or No, he believes that what they mentioned was like, “Oh, we have a bomb.” Yeah. And like, if you’re on a plane and you have a family at home, are you really going to risk it? Yeah. And like we when we had this conversation when we did that episode, it was like, you know, what would you do?

Yeah. Right. And like I think it was 911 part one. Yeah. And like I I was like, well, it’d be different if like if my family was on board. I it’s I I don’t know. I know because like I my my my heart says that I would try to do something but Oh, we don’t know. You know, I don’t know because like put in that situation is like a would I risk my family’s life there? Cuz what if I’m wrong and they do a bomb and then I just I just killed my family. I don’t know if like but also my soul could handle the damage.

The first first couple of flights, you know, they they’re not going to expect that they’re going to fly into the building. That’s the point. Yeah, they say hostage. They’re like hostage situation. Be compliant. They’ll pay for us. It’ll be cool, right? And I think you’re expecting like, yeah, like, you know, we’ll touch down like maybe this is going to go on for hours. I don’t know, whatever. Right. But you’re not expecting. You’re not expecting Yeah. Yeah. And then the third plane they already knew. Well, yeah. By then, yeah. And the flight 93, they were like, we’re going to like go out in the Blaze of Glories.

That was worth 93 is what I mean. Yeah. Yeah. That’s when they started getting phone calls and yeah, you know, they knew it already had happened, which is why I think everybody got brave enough to Yeah. Because like they know it’s it’s either that or you’re going to die anyways. Yeah. So, it’s like, you know, let’s save some other people. So, the two first planes were fully unexpected. Oh, 100%. That’s what you’re saying. Yeah. They didn’t expect. So, I think I think Jorge Jorge’s got a great point. It’s like why would you just be cool? We’ll we’ll land. They’ll do a little hostage thing like just just be I mean like even even at a less you know level but like you you see people freak out on planes now and then or or they start fighting or something and I get nervous.

You’re like like whatever. You just kind of like let them go like let them fight. Like it’s not like you’re going to get in there and you know what I mean? Oh yeah. You’re not going to get involved. I also just like weirdly enough I like I’m like a I avoid eye contact on planes. I’m not even trying to look at but and I don’t know. I think we laid it out like the timeline. We did fairly well on the part one. Um, but essentially it’s you’re sitting in your plane and somebody with a knife. You don’t know if it’s a knife or a box cutting.

You don’t know that. But a couple people get stabbed. Mhm. Or cut. Unexpected. I think one of them got his Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It was the marshall. He was Wasn’t he the marshall? Maybe they slid his throat. So you just get shaved many times. Yeah. like in the neck and then they’re in the front and they say and we’ve heard it on the recordings even in the intro of this series is everybody be calm like in that in that uh Saudi Arabian uh accent or whatever you know uh but then then per the the phone calls they threatened that they had a bomb. Yeah. No, I remember I remember distinctly like the bomb threating and like look if someone says you so what Yeah.

You’re going to freeze up. I’d freeze up probably. The bomb. Two people dead or bleeding out. Yeah. Another guy says, “I have a bomb. Go to the back of the plane. You’re just going to you comply. You’re going to comply. You’re going to comply.” Yeah. I think that this argument like especially not knowing what’s going on. If you already knew planes were getting hijacked and getting flown and like Jorge mentioned, like Yeah. You know, then it’s like, okay, like we’re going to go out on our own terms and like you said, save lives. And even now, and like if something like that happened nowadays, I think people would act, you know, right away.

The only videos I’ve seen where people act a fool when they get stomped out, then playing games on somebody on a plane now said that they e either had a bomb or or try to like hijack it or something like everybody, oh, that dude’s getting strangled. That dude’s getting strangled to death. the uh uh just because you know we all live through that or to some degree like you know you know about it I guess or or whatever depending on your age before and to your point is before it never happened. Yeah. Ever so there’s no even it’s not even in your mind right. Yeah.

There was no if anything it’s like DB Cooper [laughter] like hey they want money. Exactly. You you think it’s a hostage situation and you’re like yeah yeah US government’s got deep pockets. you know, going over this and like studying everything, etc., it really brings home how heroic United 93 passengers were, dude. Unbelievable. Like, I mean, I I Well, I have a hard I’ll talk a big game, but like I only really have the balls if it’s like I’m in my house and I have like guns near me. Like, that’s when I got balls, but like outside I’m n those guys I have a hard time believing that was fake because I just feel it was so I don’t know what the word is.

I want to say heroic, but like it is heroic, dude. It was so incredible. Yeah. Like those guys did that knowing that they probably weren’t gonna make it out. Totally. I mean, and that if that’s not heroic, then what is like nothing? Like that is the single most knowing you’re going to die and still doing it because it’s the right thing to do. Yeah. All right. So, so I don’t really subscribe to this this one, which neither do I, which is Yeah. Neither do I. Not at all. Yeah. Now, the next one is another one like I’m also like don’t subscribe to and we’ll get into it is that how the hijackers gain access and bypass security so effectively.

Yeah. Uh the airport and the door, right? Is that the security? You mean like at the airport? Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. At the airport. I mean there wasn’t that much. No, like they they like maybe they’re saying they gain access to the cockpits. I think I think that and we don’t know. Yeah. But we say we don’t know how they got out. Well, we talked about it like maybe there was a secret knock. They get one of the the steartesses and they’re he’s like, “Hey, I’ll stab you unless you like gain.” No, no, I looked it up and and the doors the that go into the cockpit back then they weren’t as strong as they are or as secure as they are now.

Like you could literally just knock Yeah. kick it in. I heard it was meant to uh basically just keep out like drunks or something. So I heard now Okay. Okay. [laughter] So, just a shout out to if you wanted to go down a full rabbit hole of content regarding 9/11, uh, you got to go over to Reddit. And there’s something called the 9/11 archive. Yeah. And it is so much information. A lot of the information that we’ve used for social media posts, etc., is from either the FBI archives or the Reddit 911 archive. Yeah. And I heard in some of the posts, I don’t know if this is totally legit, but the there was recordings of United 93 that were never given to the public, but they were given to the families.

Oh, I think I’ve heard that, too. Yeah. And so, in those recordings, they heard what people analyzed and said was it was the beverage cart. Oh, they use the battering ram. You know when they said let’s roll and then they went This is the passengers taking over the plane. You talking about 83? Yes. And I’m not talking about the hijackers. How they got in. Sorry. Sorry. Yeah. I’m talking about how did they get into the back into it to try to take it back? Well, they used it to ram into it. They used it. So to to Jorge’s point, that’s that’s a beverage cart. It’s those things are pretty You ever been hit my knees?

That’s true. The elbow. I got an elbow. Yeah, cuz I always get aisle seats cuz there there’s a little leg room. Oh, dude, I’ve gotten clipped and it’s not a fun situation. Yeah, same. So, supposedly that’s how they broke into it to take it to take it down. I don’t know. You You saw the movie Yeah. United think it’s called United, right? Isn’t that what they show as well in the movie? Mhm. But to the point is I don’t know how the the hijackers did. Yeah. Again, it might go back to that part which is that like you know you were people you were preparing for this.

It wasn’t like part of like the the you know the the standard operating procedure to like bolster the pilot’s door like and I’m assuming there was one or two or three instances of the knife to one of the flight attendants. Yeah. And she’s like, “Bill, I need you to open the door.” Yeah. And he’s like, “What’s going on?” Like, “Of course.” Sure. what’s happening and then like that that seems like a semi-logical No, I I think that’s totally logical cuz obviously like he’s going to just answer. Yeah. Yes. Hello. What’s happening? Or at least unlock it. Yeah. And then they they bust in and then it’s like, okay, we should.

Yeah. Um so the next the there’s claims that some of the hijackers identities were mixed up uh or that photos released did not match the named individuals. Now I can understand that. I can understand it though. Yeah. I mean, it’s I don’t want I don’t want to sound insensitive and stupid, etc. But, you know, we even got comments of how poorly we are at pronouncing the names of Saudi Arabian names. Yeah. I sorry I don’t know what to tell you. I’m not Saudi Arabia. I’m I’m not for Americans. It’s very difficult to do. I I don’t know. I think the one the one guy was like, “Why don’t you get some more like like uh Middle Eastern friends?” I’m like, “Okay, dude.

I I work on that. I hang out with six people total.” Like, I’m sorry. I No new friends. Like, I don’t need any new friends. Like, American or Middle Eastern, I don’t care. The point I’m trying to make is that it’s I could see it being a mixup because the names are so unfamiliar to us. Of course. Yeah. You know what I mean? It’s not Yeah. Yeah. It’s just It’s Everything’s very unfamiliar. We don’t know what I couldn’t Okay, here’s a good example. You ask 10 people on the street, would they recognize one of the 9/11 hijackers? No. From a photo. No. No. 0% chance.

Maybe us three would because we’ve researched it. I would probably recognize Muhammad Ata and, you know, a couple other guys. Maybe. No one else would. I promise. But there’s also a reason like you know so I you know I’m constantly contacting like all these sea level people for work and you know like for example it’s like you know guys who are from Asia they they will adopt a a pseudonyame because their name is too hard to pronounce and they they realize that they don’t care. They’re like yeah my name’s Sam just call me that and they’re like cool. It’s like it’s not like a dig.

It’s just they know you can’t pronounce this like I know you can’t. So, I’m going to give you something you can pronounce. So, the overall point is I I think I think we could agree that it’s possible. It’s possible that this was all mixed up, you know. And then this one I hate. Yeah. It’s just that there’s skepticism about the cell phone calls from the planes just being the, you know, early 2001 technology and high altitude call reliability. Okay. Now, the thing about that is that I think that for a while the planes weren’t actually at cruising altitude. I don’t, you know, they’re very low.

Yeah, I think the planes were lower, which would allow for actual cell service as opposed to them being at 35,000 ft. I I understand I understand the argument. I understand the argument, though. I flew that year and I remember that they had these these phones that were on the on the at the back of the headrest and you had a credit card. Yeah. You swipe it. It was so expensive. Like $7 a minute. You know, I would never be able to. But you could if you wanted you could you could. But there’s the other part though is that like for example we posted something uh I forget the guy’s name but he was in United 93 and he was in the bathroom.

Mhm. Okay. So there’s a cell phone. Yeah. Now cell phones were wild cuz that not many people had cell phones. No, that was or they had flip phones. No, not not in 2001 there was flip phones. I I think it was like that was like the Nokia days where like Yeah. Noia was like running the game around. So, so in 2001 it was more like the Blackberry. Oh, maybe it was the Blackberry. I think it was the Blackberry. No, I’m pretty sure the Razer was out then, by the way. Well, [screaming] these phone calls are from only United 93, right? Or did No, they’re from They’re from every flight.

There’s a phone call from every flight. Okay. Many phone calls. But from the stewardist or from the passengers? From the stewardists. Exactly. Yeah, that’s different. So the cell phone ones are different. The cell phone ones only came from 93. So and they were they were flying lower and they already knew kind of like what was happening. But there there are calls on other flights of it’s the seatback phone. So it’s not a cell phone. Yeah. But it’s it’s the credit card one. You know what I mean? But but I don’t I don’t know the answer because for example, let’s go like this. I get on a Sean and I are getting on flights on Sunday.

Yeah. Go to the bathroom, make a phone call. Is that gonna work? I don’t know. I’ve never tried. I don’t think so. No, I don’t think so. When you’re up in the air. Yeah. No. No. No. I’ve even had So then how do you But how do when you’re landing like when every time I’m landing? They’re they’re at cruising altitude like at at 35,000 ft. Yeah. You’re not getting sell service, but I don’t think they were at cruising altitude. I think so. He was so United 93 the phone call in the bathroom. It was right before they crashed. So there you go. They’re they’re obviously lower like they’re not they’re not 35,000 ft in the air.

Yeah. But still it’s almost an interesting now the experiment to be like the phone calls even if you’re taking off. Can I call you? Yes, probably. I’m assuming. Oh yeah. been on calls like it’s like cuz I’ll just put on my like like my earbuds or something like I’m like on a call or whatever and it’s still taking off and even when it gets up in the air and then eventually just you know dies out. All right. So you can typically make a standard cell phone call from the air up to an altitude of about 10,000 ft. Yeah. Using groundbased cell towers. Okay. So then most of those guys were below that.

Yeah. Okay. So then that that that handles that. Yeah. So that Yeah. Like I obviously they weren’t they weren’t they weren’t 40,000. No, they weren’t at cruising altitude because they were like, “Okay, let’s go circle back around to the city and hit these things.” So Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So the next one, there’s only two more. So um real quick, real quick, just on the phone calls. So, for the people who think that the phone calls were faked, that’s a great that’s a wild theory. [snorts] That’s super wild because that means that what? Yeah, that means that they had all of those passengers on the ground.

It’s too doing fake calls. That’s too big. It’s too big of a thing. It’s I don’t know. That’s We’re a conspiracy podcast, but that’s way too complex, right? That’s way too complex. Like that is like some real I can’t even That’s like some Matrix level That’s like Alex Jones talking about Sandy Hook. So that means that means and if if if anybody ever like brings it up to you, the listeners, and says that they were fake, that means that they grounded a plane with 50 60 passengers and then they had them do fake phone calls. But then also their acting and then also their families and then then they have to disappear.

So their families think that they’re deaduch. It’s too much. It’s just too much. It’s like too much. It’s way too complex. There’s just way too many moving parts. I know we’re going to get comments on this. I don’t and I don’t care. Like there’s going to be the extremists where they’re like, and that’s fine. You can be pissed all you want. Trust me, I’m the biggest conspiracy theorist in the [laughter] universe, but like even I have like limits that I can’t get past. Like, do I think that there’s still hella conspiracies involved with this? 100%. Do I think that they faked the phone calls? No.

That’s absurd. And that’s actually an affront to the people who lost their mom, their dad, their brother, their husband, their wife. Like, it’s crazy. Yeah. Like, I’m sorry. Like, that’s insane. Yeah. All right. So, so lastly, it’s um [clears throat] it’s it’s and this is I think it’s a good one to end off on cuz it just leaves it open into the next episode is that there’s claims that the hijackers were psies and that the actions were facilitated their actions were facilitated by others. Meaning that they were just the fall guys. They were just the guys meant to take the fall. Yeah. And then, you know, create a narrative.

So obviously we’ll leave that for another time, but that’s that’s going to last. So for the last point that we’ll be taking up in this episode before we end off and get into the conspiracies next Tuesday is bin Laden. So this is the official story narrative on bin. So according to the 911 commission report, US intelligence assessments and al-Qaeda’s own statements, Osama bin Laden was the founder and leader of al-Qaeda and a central figure who authorized and directed the September 11th attacks. He had issued public fatwas against the United States. So, real quick, because I had to look this up, but what a fatwa is in essence, it’s an it’s like a formal legal opinion or ruling on a point of Sharia law, which is Islamic law, and it’s given by a qualified Islamic scholar, which we know that he was, or at least he trained under one.

We went into detail in ter in the rise of al-Qaeda episode, but or he claimed to be. Yeah, he claimed to be. And so like a fatal pretty much explains how Islamic law applies to daily life. And so he was in essence giving he was issuing these like applications of Sharia law like and how applies against the United States. Yeah. So that’s what that means. [clears throat] And this was this was in 1996 and 1998. Uh he had previously been linked to the 1998 embassy bombings and the 2000 attack on the USS Cole. Planning for the planes operation began years earlier. Khaled Shik Muhammad proposed the concept.

Bin Laden approved it, provided funding and strategic direction and maintained overall command authority while based in Afghanistan under Taliban protection. Okay. Communication was maintained through trusted couriers, personal meetings and personal meetings when possible and then limited electronic means under strict operational security. Bin Lan was not permanently living in a primitive cave. He moved between compounds and safe houses. The Tora cave complex became a defensive position during the US invasion in late 2001, but it was not his sole residence before the attacks. There were reports of kidney problems and possibly dialysis needed, but videos released after September 11th showed him speaking and appearing functional, though sometimes gaunt, which is kind of hard.

He had a huge massive beard gone. But, um, he continued releasing messages for years, including a 2004 video in which he explicitly claimed responsibility and a 2006 audio in which he stated he had personally assigned the 19 hijackers. Uh, regarding prior US connections during the Soviet Afghan war, the CIA supported Afghan mu mujaheden groups. Bin Laden independently organized Arab volunteer fighters. There’s no credible evidence the CIA directly recruited, trained, paid, or controlled him. They claim that the United States trained Osama bin Laden is widely regarded as an oversimplification. But obviously it’s not like the CIA is like batting a thousand, but that is the official story on how Bin Laden planned and directed this operation.

Yeah. And so and to put some timeline into perspective, I had a little note here about specifically the timeline of Bin Laden’s actions. And we are going to do a the hunt for Bin Laden episode. Yes. But this is just kind of touching on it, right? So September 16th, so this is 5 days later. Okay. Now, keep in mind in our earlier episode, we did go over the fact that the Bush administration like 2 days after 9/11 said it was Bin Laden. Yeah, it was very It was like fast. It was extremely fast. Pretty fast. And I think in his own interviews, uh, Bush said that they knew or they thought it was him the day of or at least the next day.

Yeah. But on September 16th, now this is just data. Take it. Take it for what it is. Take it. Take it or leave it. On the 16th of September, in a statement given, he said he did not plan the attacks, suggesting instead that they seemed to have been planned by people for personal reasons. And this is Bin Laden. This is Bin Laden. And he he didn’t permit those operations. Then September 28th, which is another two weeks later. Yeah. Yeah, give or take. He gave a longer denial in an interview with a Pakistani newspaper, stating flatly that neither he nor al-Qaeda had anything to do with the attacks and that the US should look internally, oh my god, for the culprits.

Interante, he said he had no knowledge of the attacks and condemned the killing of innocent civilians as unislamic. But then what changed his tune when he’s like, “Right.” So he kept denying it until what Sean had gone over in the video. Yeah. That was in 2004. Yeah. And oddly enough, that was 4 days before the US election. It always the re-election of um Yeah. Bush got re-elected. Yeah. Yeah. So I don’t know. I This is one of the most confusing parts. It’s bizarre that he’s like, “I did not do this.” Like, “I did not do this.” Twice. Yeah. And it’s not like he’s doing it to like on American news.

He’s doing it to like his own people. Yeah. Mhm. [clears throat] Like And this guy is Hitler level. Like ego. Oh, for sure. Like ego supreme. Claiming it like he would have Why did he not claim it right out the gate? You would think that he would just claim an instant. Even if he didn’t do it, you would think he would instant claim because you want like the the notoriety and like the fame of like being like the savior or whatever the So this is confusing to me. So it’s either one of two things. One, the reporting was bad. Okay, it’s possible. Okay. You know, you journalism and translations and whatever that too.

Yeah. Yeah. Two, he didn’t orchestrate it. And then eventually he realized that he probably should because it well now it increased his power, his stature, his you know what I mean? Legacy and also years later he knows he’s already being hunted. He’s well I’m like at this point in time like where there’s boots on the ground in Afghanistan like so at this point like you need to like you need to kind of uh radicalize the public now. Now you’re like, “Yeah, I did do it.” Like, “Get behind me.” Yeah. Because now like they’re already coming. They’re already here. Yeah. So, but what does that all mean?

I don’t know. Let’s say let’s say he didn’t he didn’t orchestrate it. [clears throat] This is not the episode for this. Yeah. Exactly. This is not the [laughter] episode. I know. I know. Trust me. Right. I want to have this discussion. I want to. I really want to. But our our beautiful amazing listeners are going to have to wait until next Tuesday for that because this is just Yeah. This is just going to tell you the narrative and then we’re going to discuss the inconsistencies which we’re going to get into them. Yeah. But like you’re getting on the on the path of if he didn’t do it then who did and that’s the conspiracy part.

Yeah. Which we can’t do right now. I know. Conspiracy podcast where we can’t talk about conspiracies. It’s weird. This is what we call a cliffhanger. [laughter] Yeah. But you know what? Also on the 98 embassy bombings, al-Qaeda or Bin Laden didn’t claim it right away either. Really? Yeah. Not right. But but also the USS Cole. Yeah. No, but the thing is they didn’t they didn’t deny that they did it though. They didn’t claim it, but they didn’t say like I wasn’t responsible. Different. Do you think it’s just such an or unorganized organization that they’re like No, I don’t get it. It’s got to be some tactical I mean, what?

I don’t know. I can’t I mean, no organization can be that unorganized if you get four planes and then run them into Yeah. into deliberate targets. It’s like some level of organization, whether it’s by him or by someone else organizing it. Yeah. Yeah. There is organization happening at some level. All right. So, first things on the docket. Yeah. Reports of his serious kidney disease, possibly needing dialysis. Mhm. So, those are used to argue that, you know, he was like this super ill dude and that he couldn’t have directed this complex multi-year international operation from a remote location getting dialysis. No, and it’s not like he’s on some hardline fiber optic connection.

Yeah, it is odd because did we did go over a little bit of the history of the Bin Ladens and they’re billionaires. They were They’re billionaires. And it’s just strange like living in a cave emaciated. Yeah. Sick. Sickly. What do you say? Gaunt. Yeah. I It’s also like I if I had a Billy, you’re never going to see me even look at a cave. Um thing is like if you’re just sitting behind your mansion even if no matter how fortified it is like you know the CIA is looking they can there there’s always an eye on the sky. Oh yeah and at any at any moment they can just drop drop a bomb there if you especially if you claim something like that you know the like the full weight of the US.

So maybe the military the only option the cave is like the only way like not be seen. We have a lot of content for the hunt for Bin Laden. Yeah. It’s It’s a wild story. Save it then. And also like what they did with the body. Yeah. Oh my god. We’ll get I’ll never get over that. I’ll never [laughter] for So obviously that that is like sus. No, but then it gets also gets into like, you know, that he’s like this caved dwelling recluse, but that’s also contrasted with this like high level of like logistical sophistication with this international operation. They’re going to flight schools, the financial network, simultaneous coordination, like all these things, all these pieces moving and you’re you’re I mean, it’s pretty sophisticated.

Yeah. To be doing from a cave. Yeah. So, I’m just saying like it’s it’s a it’s just it’s just a thing to think about because it’s I mean, but you know, m money talks like money can move a lot of things. That’s true. So, I had some I had some notes from the 911 commission and the 9/11 commission determined that the entire 911 operation was funded for about half a million. That doesn’t seem like a lot. Yeah. Really? So operatives spent $270,000 in the US. The rest was like external passports, visas, etc. I mean, I don’t know how much our dollar is worth versus their currency or whatever.

Like maybe maybe 500 grand over there. No, USD. No, this is USD. Yeah. Yeah. 500 USD. I know. But what I’m saying is like Oh, how far does it go? No, but they were spending that they spent 270 in US. Yeah, but then so close to, you know, another half over there, which maybe 250 over there, whatever it is. Since we’re talking about the money a little bit, here’s a odd thing is one of the hijackers returned $26,000 to an account in Dubai about 6 days before 911. What do you mean returned? How does it even They said the money back like it was leftover money.

They didn’t They had a budget and But how do you return it? How do you return? Well, no money to Dubai from the United States. Well, or at least Western Union or Yeah. Or at least they 2001 or at least they sent a wire of Oh, they sent a wire. Okay. He said returned. I was like what? Like in a bag. So, so the commission the 911 commission says or suggests that they returned that money as leftover money from the original budget. Yeah. Anyways, isn’t that weird? just like interesting. It just weird. Yeah. It’s just Yeah. The entire operation half a million, you know, the strippers and the flight schools and the the condos, right?

Like all the all the things. Yeah. Yeah. But it’s also it’s human nature. You look at things through your own lens. Yeah. You look at things through like the viewpoint of yourself because that’s what we do. like, you know, obviously for us it seems unbelievable because like we would never try to plan something like this. So like for me I’m like this seems it seems this seems crazy. Like this is crazy. Like how do you how do you even come up with this with with the lines that need to be put in place to even do this? I didn’t understand. It’s like too much for like me to comprehend.

True. Psycho. That’s why I mean I’m trying I’m still trying to I still never understand bin Laden did operate in the same antis-siet mujaheden environment that received US support that it was called operation cyclone they were training in the CIA and then the US government was was training these operatives to combat the Soviets. So I mean one of the biggest pre prior like this is prior this is prior ‘ 80s 90s. So that’s why one of the biggest claims is that you know bin Laden was trained by the CIA and like how did he get this level of sophistication is because we gave it to him.

So that is that’s a thing. Obviously there’s no like hard proof but and besides the the happen stance that he was a part of this mujahedin forces that the US government was assisting to combat the Soviets. So, I mean, take that with what you will, but it makes sense because that’s what we do. How many times has the CIA trained up to like to overthrow governments? I mean, that’s that’s the USA playbook, hands down, touched or talked about that on Benghazi. Yeah, exactly. It’s the playbook. That’s what we do. We’re like, oh, they always have their hand in on both sides of Yeah. any war, potential wars or whatever.

So, yeah, there’s that. And then um people there’s there’s kind of stronger versions of that whereas that it’s claimed that you know bin Lan was an actual CIA asset. So he was actually a part of like the military intelligence apparatus and then had relationships and then those were kind of obviously downplayed once this happened like oh of course not like of course. So there’s there’s the theories that he was he was more than just some bro that they helped train that he was an actual like in essence operative. We see this a lot actually. We see it we saw it with Lee Harvey Oswald. There’s a lot of theories that he was a CIA asset.

It’s not it doesn’t it it wouldn’t be a stretch of any anyone’s imagination to believe that that’s possible. Not even close. Especially for him. It’s like, okay, you have an affluent influential personally in the Middle East. He’s obviously got he comes from like goods good financial backing like easy access to high influential people. Get him on our side. Have him start, you know, spinning the webs over there. You ever You ever look into the story of Whitey Bulier who’s like a mobster. Yeah, there was a movie about that. Black mass. Yeah, that’s right. With Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp. Yeah. Yeah. And you know, he was a horrible person.

Mhm. But a CIA asset. Yep. You know what I mean? So like a similar That’s what there’s there’s quite a few stories of of people who are horrible criminals. Mhm. Who provided some information to try to, you know, so it’s not far-fetched. I I don’t think it’s I don’t think it’s a crazy I mean look the C like the CA has like they have like latitude to do things that you couldn’t just normally do because it’s under the guise of the greater good now you’re able to do I mean look at the look at the whole thing with um with the the CIA running coke so they’re able to do sketch which we catch them doing all the time and they keep they continue to operate with complete impunity.

So, it’s it’s totally plausible. Like, all these are totally plausible things. We even did the one of our early episodes, the AIDS epidemic. Oh, yeah. 100%. Oh, yeah. One of our very like Yeah, that was like episode seven. Yeah, it was really early. Yeah, it was super early. Okay. And so, those those are pretty much the the main those are pretty much the main ones. We’ll get a lot more in depth specifically with the with Bin Lan on the Ahan for Ban, but I think it was important to really go over the the CIA connections. I think those are the real key ticket items because it’s documented.

Yeah. That he was involved with the the MU Jahaden and the CIA and the US government were actively supporting them openly. Yeah. To to combat the Soviets. So, it’s a very clear connection. He seems like a pretty easy high ticket target for the CIA to make an asset. Very like influential, money, like access. But I think it’s important to just kind of just go over those topics obviously before we get into the conspiracies and then afterwards we have the follow-ups that are like the aftermath of of 9/11 which is the hump from bin Laden and then I believe we also get into um the the war in Iraq.

Absolutely. Yeah. And Afghanistan. That that’s really what we were meant to cover in in this episode. Um, you know, we really wanted to obviously lay out the full picture and piece before we dived in. And we we never really go into the conspiracies in the beginning, but more specifically with 9/11. It’s like we all think what we think about it regardless of this podcast [snorts] or anything, but we can’t discount that people died. And the reason you can’t get straight into the conspiracies because a lot of these conspiracies are it’s very it’s such a such an affront against the people who lost their loved ones.

Yeah. We like we talked about when you’re saying, “Oh, like these calls were faked and like this.” Look, I get having the opinion, but like think about the effect of that opinion. Yeah. If my mom or my dad or my brother or my sister or my wife was on that plane, I would take that personally. Yeah. that would be in a personal attack against me. Mhm. So I I think it’s like you have to give the full story and obviously you can make whatever conclusion you want. That is your right like to think what you want. I’m not here to tell you what to think.

But just know that’s why we do things the way we do is because we want to tell the story. People deserve to have their story told. Especially with this, we were all affected by it. Um we’re still affected by it today. It’s like a black stain on our history. M but you know just know that despite anything like people lost their loved ones guys it’s is it’s I mean it’s as simple as that like it sucks and you got to understand that it sucks and you have to take some responsibility very true and so in the next episode we are going to cover all the conspiracies this is going to be the conspiracy episode it’s 9/11 unanswered conspiracies.

Uh we’re talking about everything whether it’s fake phone calls, whether it’s explo explosions in the buildings or or predetermined World Trade Center number seven or if it’s dancing Israelis that are looking upon it later or if it’s the E team that was there beforehand. It’s going to be all even even no matter how obscure. Yeah, that’s right. Because this is obviously our job. That’s why that’s why I wanted to give you a little like statement that like obviously we’re going to talk about it, but know that like Yeah. have some compassion. Yeah. All right, guys. That’s right. And so for the Patreons though, we’re going to go into the after hours.
