Kennedy, Chappaquiddick and the Death of Mary Jo Kopechne Part 2

// THE SHORT VERSION

Part two is the aftermath, and it is the harder half. Mary Jo Kopechne’s body was recovered from the pond at 8:55 on the morning of July 19, 1969, after a man and a child out fishing spotted the submerged car. The medical examiner at the scene ruled drowning without conducting a full examination.

The account that reframes everything belongs to John Farrar, the rescue diver who recovered her. Farrar noted air bubbles rising from the car and found the trunk almost entirely free of water. The position of her body, pressed up into the space where an air pocket would have formed, led him to conclude she had been breathing trapped air after the car went under. The mortician found far less water in her body than is typical in drowning cases. Farrar’s testimony was blunt: had he been called within five to ten minutes and reached her as quickly as he did the next morning, he believed there was a strong possibility she would have come out alive. He estimated she survived at least two hours. The guys sit with what that means about the hours Kennedy spent not calling anyone.

Kennedy did not report the accident for roughly eighteen hours. What finally moved him was standing at the ferry landing that morning and being asked by the operator whether he had heard about the crash. His instruction to the two men with him was that they should say they knew nothing about it. He returned to the family compound at Hyannis Port, where an assembled group of political fixers, advisers and managers worked the problem, which was chiefly how to keep him clear of a manslaughter charge.

Timing helped him more than anything. The crash happened on the night of July 18 into the 19th. The moon landing was on July 20. The story landed in a news cycle with no room for it, and the hosts are careful to say they think that was luck rather than design.

The legal outcome is what the episode really turns on. Kennedy pled guilty to a misdemeanor of leaving the scene of an accident, which effectively closed off a negligent manslaughter charge. Kopechne’s body was moved to Pennsylvania and never underwent an autopsy, so an official cause and time of death were never established. An attorney petitioned repeatedly for exhumation, citing a mortician’s report of blood on her sleeve and at her nose, but the Kopechne family opposed it and the request failed. Without an autopsy, the manslaughter case was not pursued. The family brought no legal action and accepted a payment of just under ten thousand dollars from Kennedy personally plus fifty thousand from insurance, later saying they did not want to look like they were seeking blood money. Kennedy maintained he was sober and driving about twenty miles per hour, a claim the guys reject outright given the car left the bridge. For once, all three of them agree completely.

“Kennedy would claim that he was sober and he never had any drinks.”

// THE EVIDENCE
  • Mary Jo Kopechne’s body was recovered at 8:55 on the morning of July 19, 1969, after a man and a child out fishing spotted the submerged car. The medical examiner at the scene ruled drowning without conducting a full examination.
  • Rescue diver John Farrar observed air bubbles rising from the car and found the trunk nearly free of water. He testified that her body’s position indicated she had survived in an air pocket, and estimated she lived at least two hours. He believed she could have been recovered alive had he been called promptly.
  • The mortician found substantially less water in her body than is typical of drowning victims, supporting the conclusion that she suffocated rather than drowned.
  • Kennedy did not report the accident for roughly eighteen hours, and only did so after a ferry operator asked him about the crash. He instructed the two men with him to say they knew nothing about that night.
  • The crash occurred on the night of July 18 into July 19, 1969. The Apollo moon landing followed on July 20, and the story was largely buried in the news cycle.
  • Kennedy pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene, which foreclosed a negligent manslaughter prosecution. No autopsy was ever performed, so no official cause or time of death was established. The Kopechne family opposed exhumation and accepted just under ten thousand dollars from Kennedy personally plus fifty thousand from insurance.
// CASE QUESTIONS
Did Mary Jo Kopechne drown?
The medical examiner at the scene ruled drowning without a full examination, but the rescue diver who recovered her, John Farrar, disputed it. He found the car’s trunk nearly free of water and her body positioned where an air pocket would have formed, and the mortician found far less water in her body than drowning normally produces. Farrar’s conclusion was that she suffocated after surviving some time on trapped air.
How long did Ted Kennedy wait to report the accident?
About eighteen hours. He reported it only after being asked at the ferry landing the next morning whether he had heard about the crash. In the meantime he had returned to the party house, spoken with friends and eaten breakfast, and he told the two men with him to say they knew nothing about the accident.
Why was there never an autopsy?
Kopechne’s body was moved to Pennsylvania before one could be performed. An attorney petitioned repeatedly for exhumation, citing a mortician’s report of blood on her sleeve and at her nose, but her own family opposed it and a judge declined. Without an autopsy no official cause or time of death was ever established, and the prosecutor did not pursue a manslaughter case.
What was Ted Kennedy charged with?
He pled guilty to a misdemeanor of leaving the scene of an accident. That plea effectively closed off a negligent manslaughter charge. He maintained he had been sober and driving around twenty miles per hour, which the hosts find impossible to square with a car leaving the bridge and landing upside down in the pond.

And probably some things that might offend you, but don’t listen to this. Can’t wait till you listen. Yeah, don’t. If you’re 18 up, don’t do it. If you’re 18 up. Yeah. Hey guys, welcome back to the Conspiracy Podcast. This is Chap Atic, part two. Meanwhile, his life, mean, Mary Joe Petney is, like, deteriorating. The what? What? What did it say? He was willing her to be alive. So Mary, Mary Joe’s body was, uh, removed from the pond at 8:55 a.m. on July 19th by the cops, I guess, right? Yeah, the cops were called in, the corner. But who reported it? Does it say? Yeah, so there was a, a man and a child who went fishing.

Oh my God. And then went fishing, and then they saw the car. Yes, that’s what you said, right? It was taken out of the water, the butt of the car, I guess you would call it, or the, the back of the car. Yeah, so that definitely looks fishy. Like, no pun in, call somebody. No, intend. So without conducting a full examination or even looking at the entire body, the medical examiner on the scene determined that she had drowned. Uh, John Farrar. Without doing it on to. They’re like, NP, she drown. Yeah, 100%. But here’s what’s, I know there bruises around her neck. But here’s what’s interesting is, John Ferrar, which is the rescue diver who was called to the scene and he oversaw the car removal from the pond and the body, noted that there were many air bubbles that were rising from it, and the Oldmobile trunk was nearly free of water entirely.

Whoa. This, as well as the position of the body that was in the car, and it suggested to many that Kekney had been breathing in an air pocket for some time before she died. Oh [bleep]. She was alive. How the, dude. Okay, see, see, something about that’s not right. Exact. No, how did, how did he manage to get out of the car, but then she magically can’t get out? I don’t think he was ever in the car. I don’t think he, wait, what? I don’t think he was ever in the car. That’s an interesting Theory. I think he was in the car, but I think he might have scooted out.

She, like, you’re drunk, you’re drunk, shut up, girl. Okay. Okay, so the, I never thought about that, but that’s a, I actually like that. I’m going to bring that up. I’m going to come full circle. I have a new the, that iated. I dig it. I dig it, actually. Yeah, so the mortician examined the body and found that it contained far less water than most of the drowning victims that they’ve. Yeah, usually when you drown, your lungs are completely full of water. So Ferrar, who is the diving person, he agreed that she likely did not drown. O, that she suffocated. Oh, she. Oh, because once you breathe all the usable oxygen, you’re breathing carbon dioxide, small pocket, and you’re there for an hour, you’re just breathing carbon dioxide and you’ll die.

Yep. [bleep], that’s the way worse way to go. Yeah, that’s worse. That sucks. [bleep] super. You’re terrified and you think you’re going to live, but then you just die anyway. He’s die anyway. Sorry, that’s the worst. So now fast forward 15 minutes. By 9:15 in the morning of July 19th, Kennedy, Gargan and Markham were standing together on the fairy landing on Chapa Quic. They saw the tow truck and they were being asked by a ferry operator if they heard about the accident of Mary Joe Kekney. Who’s that? Never heard of her. Sounds like a great girl. That, that finally was the one thing that moved Kennedy to go, I need to report this to the police.

Oh really? 18 hours later. Cau I’m caught. Sh, he’s like, that looks like my Oldmobile. So this is what, this is what Kennedy said to Gargan and Markam. He said, look, I don’t want you people in the middle of this thing. I’m not going to involve you. As far as you know, you didn’t know anything about the accident that night. Oh, cool. Let me already implicate you by making you swim the getter. Yeah, oh, you didn’t know anything. This guy, right? Sh, this guy. Okay, good. So then, then guy puts out a written statement. You ready, Mar? So he says, I’m gon, I’m gonna just plow through this, right?

He types up a written statement with Markham and Gargan. He says, on July 18, 1969, at approximately 11:15, he left the party at 11:40. I know, what the [bleep]? 11:15 p.m. in Chap Aidic, Martha’s Vineyard. I was driving my car. Car. Vineyard. All right, I knew of. Yes. I was driving my, my car on Main Street on my way to get the ferry back to Egr Toown. I was unfamiliar with the road and I turned right onto Dyke Road instead of bearing left on Main Street. After proceeding for approximately 1 half mile on Dyke Road, I descended a hill and I Came Upon a narrow bridge.

The car went off the side of the bridge. There was one passenger with me, one Miss Mary Joe, and he couldn’t pronounce her name right, Maro Capak. He literally could pronounce it. He said Mary Joe capitulation. Yes. And then he just says, a former Secretary of my brother, Senator Robert Kennedy. The car turned over and sank into the water and landed with the roof resting on the bottom. I attempted to open the door and the window of the car, but have no recollection of how I got out of the car. I came to the surface and then repeatedly Dove down to the car in an attempt to see if the passenger was still, still in the car.

I was unsuccessful in the attempt. I was exhausted and in a State of Shock. I recall walking back to where my friends were eating. There was a car parked in front of the cottage. I climbed in the back seat. I then asked for somebody to bring me back to Eder Toown. I remember walking around for a period and then going back to my hotel room. When I fully realized what had happened this morning, I immediately contacted the. Oh my god, dude, everything about that story is so full of [bleep], the timeline. That is his state. I love it. Goes back to where my friends were eating.

What? Eating. Like one of the worst statements I’ve ever heard. I am immediately contacted police after my brunch in conversation with my good friend and my mosles. It’s hly one of the stupidest statements I’ve ever seen. The worst. It’s just a lie, the whole thing’s a lie. Oh my God. So okay, so so he does, does the statement, and then he, what happens is he, Kennedy returns to his family’s compound, compound in Hyannisport. The compound, which is, is a compound. It’s Camelot. It’s, it’s ridiculous. The spot, right? Where, where at Hy Hanp, Hanis Par. Yeah. So then he brings in the Big Wigs. Okay, he brings in Stephen Smith, Mcera, Sorenson, Goodwin, Billings, you know, Burke, Culver, Toney Gargan, Markham, all these guys.

They had, they arrive to advise him on what to do. Basically, these are the top tits of the top PR. Oh yeah, the, the political whatever, right? And they’re called the master fixers and the business managers. So he brought together all these, these big wigs to determine the PR control and the Damage Control of what to do. This is still got to be president. Yeah, this is the Kennedy Golden Boy, the only one left. Well, he’s the, he’s the Golden Boy by default. Yes. Yes, exactly, correct. Yeah, that’s right. So their, their main problem is how to protect him from actual charges of manslaughter. Oh yeah, cu that, that, that, that ruins his entire political career.

Yes, at any form of office. Okay, so a crazy thing that most people don’t know, and I think that Ted Kennedy just got really lucky, is that when this happened, so Chap Atic, the whole incident, happened on July 18th and 19th. Okay. Okay, we landed on the moon on July 20th. Ooh. So this guy is out partying while this, like, men are getting launched into [bleep] the void of space. So just imagine the news cycle that happens on Monday. Oh yeah, they’re like, God, the Moon. Yes. So it’s just buried. It’s a buried incident. And we’ve seen this a lot, like, present time in the last, let’s say, few years, right?

That happens a lot. It’s like, hey, look, look over here while this other thing’s happening. Oh, look at what happened this recently. They’re like, aliens are actually real, we, we’re actually on board now. And like, meanwhile, like, there’s a balloon, every, every, like, chicken factory on the planet’s, like, light on fire, and they’re like, look at the, look at the aliens, look up, look at the aliens. It’s so true. But it’s, it’s, it’s weird. I’m not saying that they, they planned the moon to happen while, no, I’m not saying that. I’m more just saying he got lucky, I guess, like the univers. It’s either that, or Ted was like, I got two days in the moon liting, like, might as well make a move on my, might as well make a move on my assistant.

No. And then, you know what sucks for Ted? I, I don’t want to say it sucks. It sucks for everybody, like, that was a moment in history, a major moment. And so Monday he’s just purely stressing out. He just left a girl in the water, I mean. And and then his brother put the Apollo program there, and it was a major win for Kennedy’s, honestly. I just want to say, I don’t think he was stressing out that bad over his [bleep] mimosas and egg Benny. Like, he seemed pretty [bleep] relaxed. He had like a, he had like a [bleep] bath bomb [bleep], like, he was, he pretty [bleep] chill.

I’m still mad at him, I know. Piece of [bleep], God damn it. It’s so annoying. Stupid. I know. About six days later, he does a televised statement. It’s very lengthy. It was written by Senson. It was broadcast to everyw, uh, kind of like the PR guy, like, you know, was part of his, like, Dream. It’s like his publicist. Yeah, basic. Yeah, just imagine like OJ’s dream team, same Thing, but back in the 6, exactly. Yeah, that’s a plug for our OJ episode coming up. You guys need to tune in. Yeah, coming to, coming to a household near you. So the, the televised statement is interesting and it’s something that you should watch.

We’re not going to go over it now, but it’s something that you should watch. It’s very robotic and it’s very scripted. Yeah, he’s just reading. Yeah, he’s like, like he just said, you know, his wife didn’t come because of reasons of Health. Yeah. Oh yes. No, and he said he was not engaged in any immoral conduct. A, come on now. So so so pretty much you’re telling me is, so Ted Ked is Bill Clinton 25, 30 years prior. I did not havex seual relation with that woman. Look, she came on to me. I mean, the speech is, the speech is interesting to watch, and and you know, we’ll put, we’ll put on Instagram, and you know, Che it out, see it.

But it’s, it’s very formula. Twitter, you know, you know, yeah, YouTube, All Things. But but it’s very formulaic and it’s very obviously written, and it’s, it doesn’t really add to the story. He’s just, yeah. And he’s just denying everything. It’s just him reading what they told him to read, and that’s what it looks like and sounds like. It’s when, but when Biden read that speech and he was like, period, repeat, repeat statement. You mean every speech on the tele. But but at the end of it, he basically says, cuz he’s a Senator, right? So he’s an active Senator, right? So he basically says at the end, he says, if at any time the citizens of Massachusetts should lack confidence in their senator’s character or his ability, with or without justification, he could not, in my opinion, adequately perform his duties and should not continue in office.

So he’s basically saying, if you think I should resign, let me know, boy. I’ll, I’ll, I’ll dip. So that’s him trying to, you know, I think, I think for him, he was, that was his way of being, don’t put me in prison. I’ll just, I’ll just, like, step down if you think so. Only if you think so. I think I’m cool. If you think I’m bad, I’ll step down. I don’t want to, like. Yeah, I like this. If you agree, and you look, you think that this looks bad, I mean, know, I resign. Super pissed about it, but I’ll do it. Look, I’ll go, I’ll do it.

So essentially, that’s the story. I mean, there’s a couple other points to go over, but that’s, that’s the story of, of Mary Joe Kekney. And and you know, let me tell you right now that he killed Mary Joe Kekney, dude. That’s my take, right? So I’m gon, I’m, I’m gonna give you a couple other, I’m gonna give you a couple other things, right? I’m gonna give you a couple other things. So Ferrar, which is the, the diver, okay, he testified later, right? And he said the following. He said, it looked as if she was holding herself up to get the last breath of air. [bleep], that’s so bad.

It was a consciously assumed position. She did not drown. She died of Suffocation in her own air void. It took her at least three or four hours to die. Oh my God. They could have saved her, like, a million times. Damn. This part is the saddest part, ready? I could have had her out of the car 25 minutes after I got the call, but I didn’t get a call. Oh my God. This, that, see, that’s not manslaughter, bro, that’s murder one. Yeah, that’s such negligence. It’s murder one. It’s murder one because he knowingly didn’t communicate that she was there, so he allowed her to die, right?

Oh dude. He goes, that’s life in prison, bro. 25 life right there. So Farrar then testified that Capek’s body was press up in the car in the spot where the air bubble would have formed. He interpreted that, that to mean that she had survived in the air bubble after the car was submerged, and he concluded, had I received a call within 5 to 10 minutes of the accident occurring and was able, able as I was the following morning to be at the victim’s side within 25 minutes, in such an event there was a strong possibility that she would have been alive on the removal of the submerged car.

Yeah, because you can’t. He believed that she lived at least 2 hours. D, wow. Oh my God, he says, I believe that she lived for two hours. So while he was sitting on the bridge, he was, that’s what I’m saying. Actually dead, bro. Like, hopefully she’s, she’s, like, down there trying to gasp her last breath. Like, isn’t it bad? This is so bad. It’s really bad. This is, like, disgusting. I know. Okay, so and then one last, really. I mean, there’s, there’s a little tiny bit more. But essentially, so the body was moved from Massachusetts to Pennsylvania, where the Capes lived, and it didn’t undergo an autopsy.

The family paid off. So the official cause and the time of death never determined. This is [bleep], dude. If that was my kid, no, there, there is not amount, amount of money you could pay me to. Dude, I, Kenny is going to [bleep] fry. I want to see him, I want to hang him. Like, I want to be there. Like, he’s done. He’s done. So right before he did his TV statement that we talked about, yeah, he pled guilty to misdemeanor of leaving an accident. Oh my God. Slap on the wrist. Slap on theist. Out of here. He’s like, I played the misdemeanor. So by doing that, he also, he also kind of removed himself from being charged for negligence manslaughter, because at a minimum you would think that you would get negligence manslaughter.

Yeah, 100. Dude, [bleep] who were driving drunk and get people killed in the car go to prison for life. This ain’t for life. Wow. Cuz that’s, that’s true. You were knowing driving a vehicle, know that was. They would just get manslaughter in a few years. Or if you’re driving knowingly under the influence of alcohol, you knowing you’re not supposed to be, like. No. Yeah, but that’s not life. No, you get murder. It’s, that’s manslaughter, bro. It’s felony murder, really. Look it up. Look it up, you get felony murder. W. Like, if you’re, you kill your passengers while you’re driving drunk, you, it’s felony murder. Yeah, it’s not manslaughter.

But that’s also, also today. No, if, if it’s a regular accident and you’re not drinking or whatever, yeah, it’s man. Like, it’s an accident. Like, you can’t, you’re not liable for that. What are you supposed to do? Again, nowadays. Maybe back, maybe back then they were like, if you only had half a gallon, it’s mlau. So just a couple quick points, right, is Kennedy would claim that, that he was sober and he never had any drinks. So these hom, These Guys, these guys just cleaned up the, the Airbnb. Oh yeah, and they just, they cleaned it all up and we didn’t procure any Al all them.

Meanwhile [bleep] Simmons, like, later says all that, that booze receipt, you know, seven, four bottles of rum. And so K claimed that he was sober, he was fully sober, and he was driving around 20 M hour when he hit the bridge. No, which is reasonable. No way, right? Told that’s impossible. He claimed that he didn’t see the bridge until he was nearly upon it. He should have been able to see it. The theory, or the conspiracy, is that he was going much faster. Oh, 100 million much faster, right? I mean, come on, you’re going 20 mph, you hit the brakes, you’re at zero instantly. You’re just instantly not moving.

There’s no out of control, you just stop. Yeah, 40, right? At least 45. I’m. Okay, so there was an attorney named Dennis, and he continually petitioned to try to get the body exuded and an autopsy done, because because he disclosed that the mortician said there was blood on the sleeve, oo, and blood in the nose. Saucy. So but the judge in Pennsylvania held a hearing on October 20th, and the family, the Capek family, said it wasn’t necessary. Yeah, cuz Joe senior was like, listen, I can’t have this happen to my son, my last. Literally the family said against the exmination, saying there was no evidence that anything other than drowning had caused the death of Mary J.

Okay, first, like, [bleep] her parents. So they were never, no autopsy, no cause of death. No, I’m, I’m actually, I’m actually more pissed off at Mary Jo’s parents, yes, than I am at him. I’m actually more pissed off at them. Like, you pieces of [bleep]. Like, you’re not going to look out for your little girl? Are you crazy? I know. I burn the [bleep] planet down from my kid. Are you kidding me? I didn’t like it either, either. That’s [bleep]. So so Dennis chose not to prosecute for manslaughter because he was not able to do the autopsy. That’s, that’s disgusting. The, the Kekney family did not bring any legal action against him, but they did recognize a payment, oh see, there we go, of $9,995 from him personally and 50,000 from the insurance company.

So they received $140,000. But see, back in the day it’s probably like 2 million. Seven times, yeah, that, how much money? 140 time 7. Yeah, it’s over, it’s like a million two. Yeah, or 700. No, I mean, oh yeah, a million four. A million four, yeah. Yeah, so be 10x. No, he said, he said by seven, yeah, seven. Later, a little over a mill. Yeah, it’s a over Mill. The Capes later explained their decision not to take legal action by saying, we figured that people would think we were looking, looking for blood Money. Uh, I’d be looking for, I’d just be looking for blood. [bleep] the money, I don’t give a [bleep] about the money.

I want blood. So then judge Bole released the following findings in his report. He said, death probably occurred between 11:30 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. That’s a wa, that’s a massive window. Kennedy and Kekney did not return to Edger Toown at the time. Kennedy did not intend to drive to the fery slip, and his turn onto Dyke Road had been intentional. Mhm. A speed of 20 M hour, as Kennedy testified to, operating the car as large as an a mobile, would at least be negligent and possibly Reckless. If Kennedy knew of this Hazard, his operation of the vehicle constituted criminal conduct. Earlier on July 18th, he had been driven over three times by his chauffeur.

Capni had been driven over, over five times the day before. So she would have been like, this is the wrong turn, bro. Yeah, you’re making a wrong turn. He goes on to say, I believe it probable that Kennedy knew of the hazard that lay ahead of him, but that for some reason not Apparent from the testimonies, he failed to exercise due care as he approached the bridge. I therefore find there is probable cause to believe that Edward Kennedy operated this motor vehicle negligently, and that such operation appears to have contributed to the death of Mary Joe Kekney. But because of his, his, quote unquote, per the judge, Stellar driving record, he gave him two months community service.

Oh my. His Stellar driving record. He never drove, he had a [bleep] chauffeur. I would have a stellar driving. So, I’m not even kidding, so Ted Kennedy got two months for murder. No, but not in prison. So that was about all he got. Ted Kennedy then became a, he tried to run for presidency in 1980 and he lost to Jimmy Carter, and this kind of thing, like, rightfully, this thing kind of hung over him forever. Oh yeah, cuz he, he knew, he knew what he did. But he became a senator for Massachusetts for 47 years. Really? They called him the lion of the Senate. And this is why I don’t trust politicians.

Why I brought up in, in the, in the Freemason episode, [bleep] politicians with their piece of [bleep]. Is that crazy? Was he a free Basin, by the way? Probably. I would like to know that. It’s crazy. So he was a member of the democratic party, uh, 47 years, and a long part of the Senate. And and then in 2009 he died. Oh, 2009? Okay, 2009. So he was part of, he was one of the last kennedies to hold office. That’s, but see, the, this is the quintessential problem with, with, with American politics, is you can literally kill somebody and, R, you’re still allowed to make the laws of the land if you’re rich enough.

It actually doesn’t matter. Yeah, it doesn’t matter. But here’s what’s crazy is, if it didn’t happen, Chi would be alive. Been president. No, ofne aside, he might have actually been president, you’re right. I mean, Kennedy would have been president. Now, do you think that was a big, do you think that was a big factor in him not being president? Was it? Do, do we know, do we have any data if it was brought up in the, like, the election? Okay, it was. Okay, I wasn’t sure. It was brought up a lot. They covered it up with his power, and simple as that. I would just like to say, for the record, everybody else helped them out, to conspired in, in, in cleaning, or you know, scrubbing it, scrubbing it and whatever, right?

And and so that’s it, simple. Well, there’s one, there’s one, uh, conspiracy theory that was interesting to me, which was that Mary Joe got drunk. Well, I think they were all drunk. I mean, let, just out loud, they were all drunk. 100%. 100, all, all agree. There was booze there, boo. So they’re drunk. So one theory is that Mar Jo got drunk and went and told somebody that she was going to lay down in the backseat of the car, and then she went and laid down in the backseat of the car. And then Ted, and a drunken stuper, was like, I’m going home, bro, I don’t want to be here anymore, I’m going home, and he went, drove the car, oh, kill, even know she was in there, crashed it, didn’t even know she was in there.

Well see, no, see the back seat, but then was like, oh, you are in here. See, I don’t believe that. It’s so elaborate. It’s so, why would he Park? You know, when the sheriff, yeah, they, [bleep], they getting down. They both left drunk, they’re trying to get it on, right, of course. And then the, the sheriff comes and they’re like, oh [bleep], we got to get out of here. So then he’s, I’m, he like, oh [bleep], scar. Yeah, I’m going to make a right turn instead of a left turn, and then he just had an accident, scared and whatever. It’s a common theme in the Kennedy household.

Yeah. Six Boiler Room girls. Boiler Room girls, all of them are not wed to the five males that are there. I mean, that’s the thing. I mean, there’s probably, I mean, that’s suspect. I mean, boiler, supect just the fact that they’re called The Boiler Room girls. Yeah, I mean, it sounds like Memoirs of AA. I got you, I got you, I got you. So you’re saying the Boiler Room girls, I think the Boiler Room girls were, they were the flirt, they were the Sid side flirts, and, like, it was kind of a known about thing, and, like, they went there and they were all kind of, you know, come on, I mean, it’s the 60s, bro.

You’, you’ve seen Mad Men, I mean, come on, it’s just the way it is. Like, like, it’s true. They were drinking vodka and they were boning their assistance. I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be rude or crude, it’s just the truth. That’s it. All right. All right, the, the, they should not have been in that position, regardless of anything. So here’s my, the, I looked a lot into Mary Joe Kekney. Now, Mary Joe Kekney was a pretty rad chick. Now, here’s my theory. Is, my theory is that she got drunk, okay, he got drunk, like, drunk%, super duper drunk, angry drunk, drunk enough for a Kennedy to drive a vehicle.

I know, I mean, you got to be so, like, blackout. I know. The show first, sir, I’ll take you. He’s like, no, [bleep] off. So then he went, he drove with her, he coaxed her into the car, he had her Park, tried to make the move, move, you know what I mean, the move, right under the, under the, under the blouse, and it was maybe a little too aggressive, and she was like, sir, a little inappropriately aggressive, yeah. Then sped off because Sheriff, what, what’s his face, Sheriff [bleep], right? Then crashed it like a donkey. Oh, cuz he was, he was freaking out, like, drunk d.

And then was a low responsibility piece of [bleep]. Yeah, makes sense. And just let her die. I mean, I can see that. I can actually see, I can see that theory, though. Here we go. Where we at? Okay, here’s, here’s what I think happened. Yeah, I think this. I’m going to walk through the time right here. Yeah, so they’re at the party, they’re at the party, Mary Jo, Mary Joe’s like, Ted, I’m not feeling, I got to talk to you. He’s, he’s like, all right, bae, what’s up? So they go outside. He’s like, let’s go for, let’s just go for a drive. He’s thinking he’s about to get laid.

Yeah, he’s thinking, he’s like, he’s. So they go driving. So they’re driving, she tells him that she’s pregnant with his kid. So complicated. Damn. No, I’m telling you. I, you had me until, you had me, right? No, I’m lost now. You’re not lost. No, I think, I think Ted was clearly bone in her before. She’s pregnant, which is why she wasn’t qu feeling well, and, like, they thought they was going to go talk. So yeah, that’s why she left her [bleep] at the, at the house. She left her thing at the [bleep] at the house. They go for a r. He purposely turns down the wrong road, right?

And then he’s, okay, I can’t have a kid out of, out of wedlock, I already have a wife who’s having a kid. He guns it, dips off the thing, bam, somehow he gets out. Either that, or he, he somehow gets out and leaves her there to die. And then, then he’s like, you know what, I’m out, I’m not, I’m not dealing with it. Yeah, I can’t, too much. I think was, I think he was partying, and, like you said, he’s like, bad things happen, let go outside, let’s, let’s have a little chat. So you, you’re, you’re on board with the. Oh, I’m on board with Sean.

He was trying to do some weird [bleep]. Oh yeah, doesn’t think that he part. I don’t think the part of, of, um, he was definitely trying to [bleep]. Oh, 100%. 100. On, now we got, we got a, all the guys perspective. No, it’s, with that, a shadow of a doubt. I, I would bet my entire, my life, that he was going down tonight. I would bet my life that he thought he was. My life, you know. Or he might have, he might have had sex with her that night. Yeah, there was an hour missing. There’s no autopsy so you don’t know. There was an hour, you, I mean, you don’t know what between the time they left and the time that they encountered the sheriff.

It’s an hour missing. Yeah, on an island that’s the size of. Actually more, right, by the more. We don’t, cuz he got home at the hotel at 2: a.m. So he left at 11:40, but when did he, when did he encounter? Hours4, supposedly left 11. According to a statement, they left at 11:15, which makes it even, even more time. And it’s two miles. This is not like mil, we’re not, like, heading down the, like, the highway. I could walk 2 miles in half the time it took for that [bleep] to go down. So I, by the way, super upsetting, right? Like, he let her die, 100 [bleep] per.

I’m with you on that 100%. I don’t think he would have thought she would have survived that, and she was down there trying to survive on that pocket, or pocket of air, and this and that. Okay, fine, whatever. I mean, he definitely let her die down there. Yeah, you know, I think we’re all in, in agreement on that thing. Like, even what if we disagree what, what happened ahead of time? We all agree he [bleep] let her die. He just let her die. But why? He say. So you don’t think they left, like, he’s like, yo, let’s just go chat in the car for a second?

I did hear one story that was kind of interesting to me, which was that he, he was trying to do what you’re talking about, where he, he was trying to hit on her, yeah, you know, whatever, and then he saw Huck. So, like, like he pulled up to the sheriff, he saw Huck, and the theory is that he got out because he’s like, [bleep] this, I, I’m Kennedy and I can’t do this, and then he let her drive home, and then she drove off the bridge herself. And you believe that? No, but, uh, I thought it was interesting. Because you’re just saying that’s a theory, but, like, do you believe it?

It’s a theory, but I don’t know why he would say that. I don’t really get that one, because, yeah, I don’t know. I don’t know, I don’t know what happened, to be honest, I’m just fishing. No, no, because if that happened, why wouldn’t he be like, she took the car? Yeah, that’s true. Why would he swim up? Rid, I don’t like that one. See, my thing that I also thought too, my other theory, was that, that he wasn’t in the car when it crashed, period. No, when it crashed, right? Where was he? Because, well, maybe, maybe he, like, knocked her out and then put, put a, look, it cuz here, no, just hear me out.

Wow. No, listen, if she, if she supposedly, see, one sheos, listen to me, if she supposedly lived for two hours in this car, how did he get out but not her? If he had a way out, how? He said that he could close and lock the door behind, under water. Why did he knock her out? That’s what I’m saying, I think she was pring with his kid. That’s the only thing I can think of. It’s the only thing that makes sense to me. I don’t know. No, it’s the only thing that makes sense. And he’s mad, he’s like, [bleep] this [bleep] and [bleep] popen, and that’s, it’s the only thing that makes sense.

Like, I’m actually, like, logically looking at this. Mhm. He was able, he was supposedly able to get out of the car, mhm, but she wasn’t able to get out, get, had an air pocket, could have lived for two hours. Two hours. So how the [bleep] could he escape but she not Escape? But somehow she’s able to, she’s not buckled, she’s not buckled in, so she’s able to go to the air pocket. So she’s not buckled in. There’s the blood, and the fact that, so she was hit. If the, if the blood thing is true, he could have easily been then, like, put the little, put something on accelerator, like, hit the accelerator, take it out, like, slam the door, it goes down, he can jump in the water, get wet.

Oh, oh, oh my God, I tried. Oh my God, he wasn’t ready. Yeah, that’s what ited me up. So do you think, do you think, uh, I don’t know, other, otherwise it’s impossible. It’s crazy. It’s a wild story. It, no, it is. But everything points towards him lying, yeah, him involved, and him getting away with it. That’s my take, dude. They were in six feet. Everything points to that. They were in six feet of water. If his window was open, she could have been like, and then, like, swam out real quick. Real quick. So why did she leave her keys? I don’t think they, I don’t think she knew she was leaving, right?

I think he was just, want, go to the car. I think, I think he was like, hey, let’s just take a quick drive, I want to talk to you, I want to talk to you about my, my feelings, right? Like, what? No, I mean, like, J. But what’s the line, right? When I was just leave yourself, we’re just going to go talk. Um, so then he, he gets away with it, or at least he totally gets away, at least the crew, the crew comes in. How much you want to bet he didn’t even do the community service? Yeah, for sure. Bet. Did not even do.

And it, like, them suspending his license is whatever, he’s, like, got a chauffeur. Lit a guy who drives him anyways, the same guy who should have been driving him in the first place. Yeah, so stupid. Okay, I’m just wondering. So then, then the rest of his life he just tried to make it up. Yeah, I think he was trying to make amend. I think he was actually try to be a good person, yeah, to make up for what he did, which, Kudos on that. No, for sure, but you’re still a piece of [bleep]. Yeah, yeah, of course. It’s like Hitler, like Hitler was like, I’m going, trying to do right, we’re like, you still balls, hate you.

Can you imagine Hitler trying to do right for the next 40 years? He, 47 years. They’d be like, [bleep] you. You, Kenedy did 40. I, I know, we’re comparing that. Yes, it’s not the right comparison, but all right. So we, yeah, essentially, Ted, Ted’s piece of [bleep]. This might be the first one we’re all in agreement. This is probably the only one we ever be in. So what should have, what should he have done? Wait, I think we were all in agreement on Shakespeare. Yeah, we were, we, we all agreed that was fishy. That wasy. I did not know that either. That super. I know.

But what, last thing, what should he have done? Call the, stop to the goddamn fire station, minimum. Minimum. And then not swam home, but then [bleep] call the cops. He’s charge, right? If he calls. Dude, the thing is, like, he didn’t even call, he didn’t even call the cops back at the Airbnb. I know. And then he had breakfast. He egg Benny. Yes, Benny. And then, like, a conversation about sailing. True. How’s this regalia? Then he makes a statement that I immediately, I immediately called the cops after breakfast. Okay, immediately. But if he reported it, what he, what would he have gotten? I don’t know.

Meaning, like, meaning, like, if the night, if he stopped the fire station and he was like, hey, maybe, maybe just manaugh, may, like, maybe it’s just an accident, like, yeah, maybe the same, he would got the same thing that he got, just less. All right, okay, just more believable. Now all right, I get it. Now also, put, put yourself in his shoes. You know you’re going to try to hide, you’re going to try to, you know, cover this up, you’re Kennedy. Do you know how much CSI I watch, bro? Like, dude, trying to cover up, idiot. It’s the fool move. Okay, I like it. Was, I would try to make it look, back in the0, but you’re Kennedy, trying to make it look as big of an accident as possible.

It was an accident. And then, then you get the pity play when you run, what, saying, I was in the car with my, my assistant, it was so sad, I’m, my God. Like, I’ll vote for him, Kennedy. But that’s what me and Eric are saying, like, you report it as soon as you can. No, I think, I see you, he’s saying he would be careful as a Kennedy, and he’d be trying to, like, I, yeah, I would be, I, yeah, right. I see the look in your eye, I see the glit in your, piece of [bleep].
